I just want to say that Brooklyn Nights is a trash autotune song and Fashion is two times better

:awkney:i don't think I've ever read anything on this site I've disagreed with more. Fashion is my most hated song by her its completely soul-less and Brooklyn nights is in my top 5.

Actually, I've heard influences of industrial, funk rock, Hi-NRG, electroclash, electro house, dubstep, techno and even some opera and mariachi on BTW, so I wouldn't say it just has only disco, rock, and electro in it.

And gospel

Truth be told we have no idea how far along she is.  For all we know everything she's written prior to AHS has been scrapped once she found inspiration in Hotel.

We know she's been mixing last month so it's safe to say she's at least got the lead nearly ready or at least a couple tracks.

I agree except the part saying she just has to show up in studio and record... Just look at the pics with RedOne they were writing, composing, playing guitar, experimenting and recording...

I think Gaga is working for hours in studio to get ONE song done. She's not the kind of pop star who just ask for song and record it without even participating to the writing process (or just changing a word to get the writing credit and the money who comes with it)

A Gaga album takes time to be made, like you said she's often starting writing and recording for the next album while she's only starting an era.

How come we know such thing? We barely know some producers whom she has worked with or could be working and that's it. The rest about LG5 is a complete mystery.

I was thinking whether she has made some honest deep dark songs about the ARTPOP era and how she felt. I would assume that she has moved on from the early stages in 2014 when she must've written some material but the majority should be from 2015 and now maybe she is realising her ideas inspired by Hotel. :duck:

Also to add to the OP - I also wonder if some members here are getting frustrated esp. since Gaga made a snapchat. She's allowed us to enter her everyday life and we've not seen her do anything related to the album apart from that "Gonna do some mixing". We've seen her prepare for the performances, attend fashion shows, sing a bit and get drunk. But I assume that she is waiting for the Oscars to end and then focus more heavily. And if she can attend so many additional events then she must be pretty confident with what she has done so far and doesn't feel any time or managment pressure. Actually, tbh the only pressure on her would be coming soon to her from fellow LMs. :noparty:

We don't know, exactly.   For all we know she's doing a Gospel/Dance album or she's scrapped everything prior to AHS.  We don't know anything.  Anything is a possibility or a guess.

And gospel

"It's my daddy and Nebraska and Jesus Christ" came to mind. There's quite a few Biblical references in her songs, most of which I find hard to understand. Wonder if she'll incorporate more Biblical stuff in LG5. I'd actually like that.

born this way was a mix of genres and it was flawless so i'm here for a mix

but ya i agree with everything else :hor:

You say that but I think almost all songs fitted under the category of rock pop I thought btw songs were quite consistent in the sound I guess you have songs like scheibe which was more of a dance song which is different to say hair but they were all quite dark sounding so I'd like there to be a bit of a mix but not too diverse

Born This Way has a lot of hidden genres that some people haven't pointed out yet as I mentioned before like industrial, trance, techno, dubstep, electro house, opera, heavy metal, euro disco, gospel, rock and roll, country rock, electro clash, pop rock, Hi-NRG, funk rock, hip hop and mariachi in it.
