What Trump does is wrong but I wouldnt call it racist.. he is not calling these illegal immigrants rapists because they are from mexico, he is calling some of the illegal immigrants rapists because most illegals in all countries in the world have a higher chance of being violent for many reasons. If illegal immigrants from another country other than Mexico was entering the US, im sure he would say the same thing about them. I do however oppose the language he uses and im sure its not true that most of illegals are rapist.

Just wanted you to know that I dont like Trump at all and I know it seems like im defending him but im just defending how people today easily accuse others of racism specially if they are christian, white or male even though there is no evidence. Trump is like a trigger word for these people its crazy.

I understand your perspective but honestly what he says is racist that's maybe why people are triggered by some his comment. It is still build on prejudice to assume that illegal immigrants have higher chances to be rapist, criminal activities possibly because they are more likely to work on the black market but why would they rape a woman more than a legal worker? It does not make sense to make such distinction. I am currently a legal migrant in Canada does it mean I could turn in a potential rapist the second I overstay my visa? That's ridiculous. You know when we analyzed his apology statement he stand by what he said and kept contradicting himself saying even more stereotypes about mexican on one hand ( I forgot them but could find the paper) and on the other hand saying he has mexican friends and they are good people. Such technic when you analyze them are typical of people starting by "I am not racist but...." the issue is the but. If you have said something racist and did not intend apologize don't try to make it sound like it's not the case because people can see through and by his action he acts like one. My personal opinion about him is that he is trolling people, because his behaviour does not add up but it does not change the words he said.

Illegal immigrants will normally have higher crimes (dont know about rape) because most of them are poor, uneducated and without a family living in bad neighborhoods treated badly by the government. I know many illegals are educated and are just like everyone im just saying that a big number of them are not. Again, im not saying this about illegal Mexicans.. im saying this about any illegal immigrants including Muslims. Yes I know hes a troll and a liar thats why I hate him.

I legitimately cannot tell if this is a joke or not. Are you defending Donald Trump? His viewpoints and arguments are completely 100% racist, and it's sickening. Him saying that illegal Mexican immigrants are all rapists is certainly a racist thing any bigot would say. Just because he didn't say "all Mexicans" doesn't mean it's not racists. Many illegal immigrants—no matter where they came from—are coming to America to give a better life for themselves, their families/friends, and their children. 

Also, his comments about Muslims are nothing but racist. Trump and his supporters think that all Muslims are terrorists and that we should stop any Muslim immigrant from coming into the country. Hasn't he heard of a thing called compassion? What about the Syrian immigrants coming over here; many of them are not terrorists, they just want a better life. It's disgusting what he's saying about other groups, and it's even worse that other people are actually defending and supporting him.

Saying illegals are rapists is not racist.. you can say its sickening or whatever and you can disagree but its not racist. Thats like saying if I criticize feminists, im a sexist! If he believes that illegal immigrants are racist because they are mexicans, then that would be racist.

I never heard Trump saying all Muslims are terrorists or we should stop them from coming to the US but he did say there is a muslim problem and we need to take steps to protect ourselves and until we fix the system, we need to ban muslims. Its insanely crazy and stupid but its not racist.

I hope I dont need to explain this over and over again as I already had this exact same conversation with many people here.

This part of all that Trump has said is true. Very few countries give birthright citizenship. There really are groups of pregnant Asian women coming to the US to have their babies. Once a baby is born in the US, they are a citizen until the day they die. 

Trump says a ton of crazy things,(and I would never in a million years vote for him) but what he said here is accurate.

That was on some list of outrageous things Trump had said. Yes I know besides US, Canada and most South American countries have birthright citizenship. I don't see an issue with that? Why did he have to single out Mexicans and Asians? I was suggested by a friend to visit her during pregnancy and give birth in USA so my child would get citizenship. I guess because she's so in love with everything  American. I don't understand his comment "we have to take care of their babies", it's not like these people from poor countries rush in to (ab)use American non-existant maternity- and child benefit system and free healthcare.

I think because Mexicans are the primary ones that are benefitting from the birthright citizenship law, due to having so many come over the border. There has been a big organized group that are bringing over pregnant Asian women to have their babies in the US. There were lots of reports on it on nightly news, CNN, 60 minutes, and other shows like that recently. I haven't seen any other media on other groups, but I'm sure that there are other groups. Maybe it isn't as widespread or organized as these two groups of people! 

If these people are poor, they can get money, lodging, benefits and healthcare for their naturally born children. Medicaid, WIC, welfare, food stamps, a pre-K through 12th grade education in a much safer place than many of them come from is pretty attractive to some of these people.

Saying some illegals are not rapists is not racist; however, saying that illegal immigrants are rapists is—even if you don't say "all" it's still implied that you're saying "all"—is racist. And, Trump at the very beginning was targeting illegal Mexican immigrants. He wasn't targeting Chinese, English, Canadian, etc. illegal immigrants; he was specifically targeting and talking about Mexican illegal immigrants. That's racist, plain and simple.

On the whole Muslim situation, it's completely racist, there is no question about it. Muslims are individuals who follow Islam, they're not all terrorists from the Middle East. Those terrorist groups are radicals, they think that they're good, but they don't stand for the Islamic faith at all. That's like saying that the Westboro Baptist Church represents all of Chrisitanity. If that's the case, then we need to take steps to protect ourselves from Christians. We don't need to ban Muslims at all, we need to better secure the system, but banning an entire people group is not the answer.

Finally, it isn't a matter of whether or not you want to explain it over and over again, it's a matter of you defending a bigot. I try my absolute best to be open-minded and try to see other people's viewpoints, but I cannot see why people like you are defending Trump, he's nothing but a terrible figure for our country.

He clearly did not mean all illegal immigrants are.. he meant that its a problem because there is a high rate of illegal immigrants doing crimes.. he did not talk about canadian, english or chinese because its almost none existence to have illegal immigrants from these countries. Yes banning an entire group of people is not the answer but its still not racist. I am a Muslim so yes I know that majority of Muslims are not terrorists but because of how the middle east have been turned into a war zone for many years, there is a high terrorist rate witch is still less than 1% of all muslims but the number is big and after what happened in Paris and all the threats America has been getting, Trump decided to ban muslims until he secures the system and then let them in. Yes im against this and its immoral and wrong and just creates fear and hate but its still not racist in my opinion.

Again, im not defending Trump.. If someone punches a man one time and in court, the man was accused of punching 5 times, if you told the truth that it was only one punch are you really defending him? no your just stating facts. I personally dont like how everything today can easily be labeled racist or sexist when its not and im defending that.

also, @VampireHeart, whenever I tried to quote your post of Trump's response my comment wouldn't post, so this is in response that:

Illegal immigration is a problem, and yes- crimes and short-term financial issues arise as a result of illegal immigration. But the way people like Trump talk about it, you'd think majority of Americans have faced struggle because of illegal immigrants when that's not the case. He spouts a bunch of Us VS Them rhetoric, against people who don't really hold much power here anyways. But I guess it's easy to target people at the bottom and get votes from citizens who aren't observant enough to realize that illegal immigrants are kindof the least of our issues when it comes to building a better nation. 

More Americans are affected by healthcare costs, college debt, and our faulty prison system than illegal immigrants. And for Trump to act like he could disable ISIS is ridiculous. What intel does he have? What knowledge of ISIS does he have? He acts like he can walk into any country, guns a-blazing, and just find every single ISIS meeting place and save everyone. He's delusional.
