So, during that notorious radio interview earlier this year, Elton talked about writing for LG5 and, even though people focused on the fact that he was writing with Gaga, something people didn't talk that much about got stuck with me. He said he hopes she will just do a great album like Tapestry (Carole King's legendary album from the 1970's), only, he completes, it would be Gaga's type of Tapestry. I had never paid much attention to that album, only having heard the most notorious songs, but after he said that I went on and listened to it and I'm now both obsessed with Tapestry and really excited about LG5. Not that I think LG5 will  necessarily sound anything like Tapestry, but I'm excited because I think Elton meant that in terms of musical and lyrical consistency, timelessness  and overall quality. Tapestry is a masterpiece and was one of the most relevant and iconic albums of the 1970's, having spent the entire decade on the chart and elevating Carole King to a legendary status. What about you guys, what do think Elton meant by that comparisson? Do you think he meant it literally, like LG5 will sound like Tapestry (which would also not be bad at all tbh) or do you agree with me? 1035x1035-caroleking-1800-1395235439.jpg

i hope he is correct in the lyrical depth Tapestry contains - since King's words are so integral and emotional.

i really don't know what to expect from LG5, obviously Gaga has kept a lot of things secret - besides a few collaborations etc..

for me, i'd love her to compose some killer piano-driver ballads (i think there is a minority here that want this also, haha). just some honest and relatable lyrics too, similiar to King's Tapestry.

nevertheless, i'm here and i'm ready for LG5!

He talked about the upcoming Gaga album and i think he means it on emotional and personal levels.

btw: Is there still the video out where Elton talked Gagas new album ? I can't find it, just audio.

I'm sure i seen also a video :deadbanana:
