What do you think/want LG5 to actually be about?

Slayer

I was thinking about this the other day. We're all anticipating the album, and speculating what it's going to sound like, but none of us know ANYTHING about it. We don't have any idea what the theme is going to be. We've been given "hints", like 'the art of darkness', butterflies, witchcraft, etc, but none of these are confirmed. We are completely in the dark about this album (and probably will be until it's  released).

So what do you think/want this album to be about?

Personally, I'd like a self-titled album that is just about Gaga herself. No 'agenda', no message. Just a hippie glam pop album about her loves, her fears, her friendships, her betrayals, etc. I love Elton John's comparison to Carole King's Tapestry, because that's a truly amazing album and I would love Gaga to write more literal lyrics like that.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

I would like it to be about world issues like peace, chaos, wars, empowerment, maturity through darkness...
I want it to be vocally-oriented with timeless profound lyrics. I want it to be an album which will never be affected by time.

I know it's a lot. But I trust Gaga and I feel that LG5 is going to be one of her best works.
I would like for it to sell millions, you know, just for the sake of her haters, but what I'm really interested in is quality. Superb, undeniable quality, either melodically, lyrically, vocally, or when it comes to the production.

I want it to be a dark sounding album similar to the fame monster being up beat at the same time with some powerful mid tempo pop songs like bad romance and you and I for example I hope the albums theme is to do with darkness and fears and over coming them something like that would be good

I'd love it to be the disco baby of born this way, like a mix with acoustic instruments and some good synths a la I Want Your Love. I really hope she doesn't fall in that trap trend that every song sounds nowadays... I'd be happy with everything but please no trap or tuned vocals like Lean On :ohno:

REALITY

I'd want it to be a darker album. However, I'd also want it to be about concepts and topics and empowerment, peace, and spirituality.

I also anticipate that this album will really focus on her vocals, because now it's definitely known that Lady Gaga can sing, something more like "Gypsy".

It'll probably have some inspirational song about being weird as a tribute to David Bowie at the least. It's also confirmed to have simple bops like her early works (yes Gaga) and she also said in that hillside interview it's about bringing people together.

We actually have a good set of info on the topics of this album ?

I don't know what to expect either but I want some powerful heart-wrenching ballads. Just her and the piano, on at least one song. Of course, I'd also love to hear some disco/funk/pop music and I also hope this album makes history. I want a touch of darkness to it (With Gaga I'm pretty sure we'll get that) but not too much like before. Something more than just darkness and art and music and dance - something revolutionary.

I won't be disappointed even if it's not all I how for it to be (since I put my hopes way up there). I just want to hear her voice again, singing something that she wrote, not a cover. Oh Gaga, I am so ready!

Based on what I'm getting, the album will be about maturity, sex & being powerful based on her quote from the BB WOTY interview. I really think she's gonna create something different from today's big hits but still be GP friendly at the same time. As far as genre, she's keeping it a secret, but you can tell it probably will have pop, punk, funk, disco & soul influences based on the people she's working with. Also possibly something about peace, it's in allot of things she says! I also think she'll try to showcase technology & possibly coaborate with Intel again. If the era goes smoothly, it could be her best album & cement her place in pop culture.

rising back to the top, taylor, ahs, bowie, insecurities, finding inner strength, the art of darkness, creative freedom

so basically Born this way and TFM sonically & musicality, The Fame's success with the intention of creative freedom like ARTPOP (without the outcome of ARTPOP) and positive critical reaction of the same calibre as C2C received.

Hopefully you both described the soul of the album :applause:

I forgot to mention "the art of darkness." And NO, that doesn't mean TFM 2.0. Gaga's definition of it is creating beautiful things out of struggles & dark times. Therefore, I think it will have songs about struggles form the AP era. It might also be inspired by AHS
