Rifek 51,753
I was really disappointed with the Grammy performance when I first saw it and with few next watchings. Now I listened to every original song from the setlist and then watched the tribute once again in good quality and with headphones and I must say: WOW! THAT WAS REALLY SPECTACULAR. I'm so happy that Gaga did her own rendition of those masterpieces and the Intel technology in her performance wasn't that bad at all. We got many different effects in good proportions during the whole performance. We could see: 1. face animating 2. robotics with piano 3. interactive rings 4.interactive holograms 5. beautiful play of lights 6. good choreography 7. live band 8. awesome costumes 9. good makeup 10. Nile Rodgers 11. David Bowie! Of course after the whole Intel hype we should get 100x more or better but now, after almost one day I can honestly say that was one of her biggest performances and the most important thing is the fact it was a TRIBUTE. They did their best for the moment and that surely took Gaga for next level and it didn't take her back but opened door to good step into LG5 era. + Gaga said: ''And it all starts here, on music's biggest stage. With Intel's technology at my fingertips, everything will change'' So I believe it's really just a beginning and much more is going to be shown! ❗️ IG: thebumblebee__ ❗️

Benji 20,113
It was a really good performance. I kind of hope we get a proper studio recorded Bowie cover at some point but I doubt we will.

Doncho 27,241
I loved the performance. I hope Intel and Gaga continue to collaborate on live performances and even music videos. Another iconic Grammy performance for Gaga!
Kermit 15,807
It was one of the best tribute performances of all time, especially to someone like David. Some of you need to realize that he allowed Gaga to do what she's allowing us to do, be free. David>Gaga>Us>(If any of us starts a fanbase)/Lorde I guess Any disrespect from any of us should not be tolerated because we expected her to do Dinner Ft Adele or something. That was her night to owe it all to the man who gave GAGA her all so she could give US her all, and she will do it in due time. “For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic. GANGIE 5,421
I'm pretty sure that the audience saw this: but not in that way... In the twitter video it was 3d-light appearing arround the person but in the Bowie Tribute it was the rain of 3-d lights coming out of the screen. it must have looked very very very very impressive. I'm so sad that we don't have any video from the audience ;/ TONIGHT I WON'T WEAR MY DISGUISE
elijahfan 26,489
I think that what most of us missed through the telecast is the fact the light effects during Heroes were appearing in 3 dimensions onstage, like holograms surrounding Gaga and Nile. It must have been pretty impressive irl. I actually have no clue how they achieved that. I also suspect there was a malfunction during the Let's Dance segment, when the screens remained totally black while Gaga was making frantic moves with the interactive rings - I'm sure something was meant to occur there. My biggest problem here is that there didn't seem to have any correlation between the rings and the animations - like, my mom saw the performance and just assumed Gaga had funny rings on, she totally didn't get these were controllers, and I suspect this was the case for many people. JesseBabe 838
The comments/posts the past 24 hours reminds me of how practically every week there was a new ARTPOP thread. Literally, the tribute was great, she's great, and Bowie meant a lot to her. Who cares if his son possibly shaded her or a few people have negative things to like about it? If you liked it, who cares what other people think? It's called showbiz and not everybody is going to like it and that's okay. Getting so butt hurt over overhyping and some negative reviews to the point that an amazing performance gets overshadowed by all the things that "didn't happen" is sad. Yes, the technology was a little messy and things changed from what we thought was going to happen and that's okay! I thought the performance with Intel overall was great, and I'm not even a fan of David's. The face animation was so cool to watch, even if it was a little buggie. But thank you, for a positive post! nikola 4,342
i love this thread........and i think that this performance looked way better for people that were there cuz all of the lights when she was singing heroes were 3D.......cameras dont do this performance justice......i think they should have found the way to make 3D holograms show properly on tv......like in this video also i think they toned down the efects cuz its a tribute I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"

Killa 17,697
Gotta say that after watching the video again some 3 times, it was indeed good. Not her best, but for the time she was given and the complexity of it, it was quite something. I'm in love with the choreo, don't know if they intended to have some tech into it, but it's so simple but amazing.
