Has Adele Moved On From WWWY?

Her career is so interesting to me. There is honestly no difference sonically between 21 and 25 and her aesthetic regarding performance and image is completely identical between these two albums (three albums if we're being honest here in regards to 19). I think now is the time that the public may have moved on past Adele and her cookie cutter, generic performances. They are great and she is talented, but she doesn't bring anything new or different to the table, and I think we'll slowly see her fade if she doesn't try to do something even slightly different.

Adele doesn't adhere to the normal routine for stars these days. She doesn't have to either, her sales are insane. She can release the album and enjoy/relax from then on. I've been listening to the album everytime I work out or take a long car trip. I still love it. That's just me though.

How do you work out to an Adele album lol? I need fast paced songs to keep my energy up

LOL I end up singing along. Helps me not keep counting the seconds. It's not only her, but she's always included. :)

Didn't listen to 25 at all :lolga:

I thought WWWY was a great 2nd single, I connected to the lyrics and the way she sings is amazing! Even better live! I agree that she should have sang it last night, would have done better I think.

I know numbers and charts don't really matter when you love a song, but there are always specific songs I really want the whole world to hear because of their beauty or because of how special they are to me and most of the time, being high on the charts mean your song is played often. WWWY is one of these songs, Gypsy was another one (which was why I was so sad it wasn't released as a single).

But back to the OT, no I don't think she moved on yet, as people previously said I'm pretty sure she's going to perform it at the BRITS.

Guys Adele's 19 didnt have monstrous singles. She only had 3 big singles from 21, and a fourth that wasnt that big. She never has been a crazy single maker... It was just the right climate with 21.

But anyway, I think its cause it followed Hello which was undeniably an amazing song. The other one is like its little sister, she even says "when we were young(er)" and goes over the same topics in Hello.

Who cares about singles when you're almost certified diamond?

although I do agree that wutb would make a great third single.

Because the album is a lot weaker than 21 and it has no single material bar Hello

I can't believe how many people were caught by the hype, with 25 there was nothing else but hype that sold it. For sure not the quality.

She's gonna debut WWWY at the BRITS next week! I think she kept it for the british audience

I think she needs to try and make it big in the UK because she seems to be losing touch with her uk fan base now I think she is much more popular in America at the moment. Back in 2011 her and GaGa were the two biggest stars by far in the UK and despite the success with hello and 25 it just seems like she is no where near as big as she was here Half a decade ago

So let's pray for LG5 as AOTY at the grammys 2069
