I feel bad for Gaga

Although I feel like most of you that the Intel collaboration was overhyped, it still was an incredible tribute to Bowie's art. It made me appreciate him as an icon more and I was so happy to see Gaga honoring her idol in such a proud and energic way, it was an amazing performance :flutter:

my roommate, who is neither a fan of Gaga or a fan of Bowie, saw the performance last night and was completely HOOKED. and LOVED IT. He thought it was Gaga's best performance in so many years, it was overwhelming...

everybody's gonna have different take-aways.

I was trying to tell him that for Gaga, this wasn't her best performance... i wanted him to compare it to Bang Bang or the Frank Sinatra performance...

I will say this, the pre-performance promo videos were significantly more interesting, visually & aesthetically. LOVED the super futuristic look and was hoping for more of THAT.

i would be stoked to see a new LG5 era that is filled with that futuristic, sci-fi, alien space goddess look.

I mean it was a lose-lose situation for gaga with her fans and Bowie fans. If she sings with her personality, the Bowie fans would have seen it as "making it all about herself" and if she sings completely emulating Bowie which she did, fans would've said it was a "why's she trying to copy Bowie, such no talent!/ lack of gaga in it".

Personally when i saw the performance on hd, it was visually stunning! It was the fastest 7 minutes of my life!

Eactly. She will never be able to please everyone, esspecially at a time when fans are still mourning his death.

She was amazing-the projection was off-in the wrong place after the spider which is crazy considering all the work they put in. They could have done that part longer for sure or down cooler projections like in the video I saw about face projection. But Gaga was amazing and I loved it

I didn't like the way the performance was put together. Way too many songs squeezed into 6 minutes, and as a result it lost clarity and felt rushed. They should've just stuck to a 3 or 4 song medley. "Space Oddity," "Starman," "Life On Mars" and end it off with "Heroes" or something like that.

And Intel should've kept its damn mouth shut about how "everything will change" on Grammy night. The tech was cool and I can see that a lot of work went into it but I wasn't blown away at all. If they had just said "Gaga is going to perform with some cool new tech by Intel" before the performance I would've had a better reaction to it.

With all that being said, I still think Gaga absolutely slayed and did the best with what she had. I can't think of any other contemporary pop star who could've pulled it off as well as she did.

there were ****ing moving 3d hologram projections do you have eyes or are you just retarded omg

Have you never seen a hologram before? This is not groundbreaking and it certainly isn't lifechanging.

It's so dumb because usually tributes are a lineup of musicians singing songs together like a chorus. She puts on an actual show that more accurately reflects Bowie and people say it's not good enough?

This is exactly how I feel. For a tribute performance, while it was rushed, it was still a good tribute.

Well when there are so many negative threads maybe that is supposed to tell you something?

maybe there is a reason everybody the majority hates it?

Maybe we can admit that gaga is not always delivering a good show and that is okay? We still love her. So what if she messed up this time? It was not even her own music so it's okay.

There are negative threads because we have a group of hysterical, immature types here.

The majority of the stans, casual fans, viewers and music media loved it!

What are you going on about? There was absolutely no way that performance woukd be considered to be something Gaga messed up on!

She aint going to see what yall have to say, the problem is that "I" have to see those stupid ass threads made every minute, because she didnt fulfill yall gays huge expectations (as always)

Well, first of all point your anger towards the people who complain all the time, i haven't said anything about the performance, cause i don't care about Bowie, and so i don't care that much about that performance. Second, just ignore GD for few days, its better for your nerves :gaycat:
