She did what she had to do but the hype was such a bad idea because obviously it didn't live up to a lot of people's expectations. We've seen how well she does when she doesn't go overboard with everything in the past year. This performance was another case of Lady Gaga doing things last minute and overdoing the performance which took away from the artistic potential it had. How is that revolutionary? How is that changing the world? If Gaga simply said, "there's going to be some cool new technology in the performance" then we'd all be satisfied, but nooo, this was "groundbreaking, epic, life-changing technology."
