They got a standing ovation for the performance, so that just goes to show that IRL it must have looked phenomonal.

Inb4 LG5ball incorporates crazy hologram technology. (90% sure this will happen tbh. It just makes sense. And I'm already hyped)

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

It was amazing and people done understand how complicated it takes to make that kind of technology. Like serious it would have taken Intel half a decade to pull off some people's expectations

So it can be incredibly complicated to make a dish, some type of food. But if in the end the food tastes bad WTF cares how much time and effort went into it? This is such a stupid excuse. The performance was did not change anything or do anything unusual and I don't know why is that so hard to accept for some people. Don't act like projecting a picture on Gaga's face is any kind of revolutionary. And sure, a piano moving around a little bit is surely what makes a performance great instead of just good. Like it matters so much. Oh please, what a joke.

General consensus on this site seems to be that people were underwhelmed by the technology aspect of Gaga's tribute, and that Intel's involvement has been overhyped.

While it is undeniable that the expectations of those who frequent this site were not met--no, there was no holographic piano, no butterfly dress--it is equally true that those expectations were to high to have been met anyway; the technology required for fans' expectations simply do not exist yet, or are not reliable enough for inclusion in a live performance.

What we DID have, however, is some very impressive LIVE face-mapping projections and choreographed robotics (the piano), in conjunction with some very impressive 3d movement tracking and live-rendered animations. The an unimaginable amount of processing power and technological innovation was required to achieve those effects, and I'm pretty certain that the technology showcased tonight will prove to be indispensable in future live music performances.

Finally, let's all congratulate Gaga for a heartfelt, passionate tribute :)

Lovely post, but I took the liberty to bold the best (and most important) part. :)

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

The face mapping was the best..but where is the cube

It didn't show in video but it's when she walked out of frame to the right of the stage before she was projected onto a bigger screen.

I’m getting on your nerves
