You guys make the most if it. Of course it was a phenomenal performance, but what the op wanted to say is that at one moment Gaga sounded just a little odd which is extremely normal too. It was live after all. Stop the drama

Exactly!

I wasnt trying to drag her that wasnt my point, I thought she did great overall

I just thought that part didnt sound so good and im quite sure she missed a note...

I just wanted to see if I was the only one who noticed this. And given that 6 or 7 of you guys here notice the same thing, now im pretty sure I didnt immagine it

I don't know if they're just delusional, but it may be because it's such a minor mistake, that only musically trained or talented ears can hear.

Please correct me if I make any grammar mistakes, I want to master English as much as possible.

Perhaps thats what it is

besides being a minor mistake she played it off well to make it less noticeable?

I noticed this the first time i heard ut tho. Hbu? Did u just notice now that i mentioned it or do u also think its quite clear and obvious?

I studied music for a little bit so i was able to pick it up pretty easily

Yeah I heard it pretty clear on the first time but didn't want to mention it or anything, for obivous reasons (i.e. some of the response in this thread)

Exactly. People need to realize that these things happen, even with Gaga. It was the superbowl and the national anthem after all, 100+ million people were watching her, the girl was obviously nervous a bit, but who wouldn't be seriously? It's admirable that she made it work and didn't mess up big time. This minor, tiny note change is not a big deal at all. It happened, that's that, she still was incredible and I could not be more proud.

I'm a professional singer and hear the switch. It's part of going from chest to head, but it does get funny there. If it wasn't on purpose she made it seem so which is a testament to how good she is. That song is a b*tch to sing and even the best singers struggle with those notes. Even with the shift she blended it very well and killed it. But you're right it's something only a musician or vocalist would really pick up on.

Well im neither a vocalist nor a mucision. I merely took 1 class in highschool on music theory and I clearly heard the funny part :rip:

And it seems now that i mention it quite a few others did too

So, i have to wonder how many ppl might have noticed but didnt say anything.

In any case great sing. American anthem does seem complicated to sing. My Nations anthem "O Canada" is so easy even I can sing it which says a lot if how simple it is :air:

Whispering

That was an artistic choice, not a flat or sharp note. Gaga's rendition did not follow exactly the standard version, which is to be expected. Most artists change it up here of there, to put their own spin on it.

She missed that one yeah, but that was the only one + she kept the note "dramatic" so it wasn't really off key, but I cringed a bit when I heard it the first time

It was the combination with the piano music that made it sound more obviously out of tune. If you try to block out the piano it will sound like she's singing totally fine.

OP I got what you meant but I think she did it purposely however it was not my favorite performance of hers at all. She did a good job but not spectacular like the oscars. I don't know why people are pretending to act butt hurt but just know that this site is filled with brown nosers. God forbid you noticed something off in the performance you'll get stoned by people here. You didn't even say anything bad at all :smh:
