I live in Quebec and, although I was only 7-8 at the time, I remember hearing Hung Up a lot (it's still my jam to this day) and hearing Sorry and Jump also many times. She tried giving some current sounds to her music and it failed, maybe because they all care about seeing a girl shaking her butt but they don't care if a woman with a 33 year long carrer on her back is still making her own music and trying. If Rihanna released Devil Pray it would have been #1 for sure, but they just don't care because Madonna is 57. And she won't retire as long she stills sell out tours. She will never have the success she had before with new music, but i find harder to have long-time fans that still buy tickets to see her and some albums. ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula? She needs to see that it's not about the commercial success sometimes. I'm also unsure if the radios would be willing to play her singles after the ageism garbage.
