Experimental means nothing. 

Its as if Katy Perry did Bjork music thats experimental for her. 

Experimental is not a genre or actually good way to describe anything, it usually means oh I've run out of ideas and my last album was self titled so really this is just going to be mediocre but if I slap it experimental then its edgy and cool.

Yes, and I have when she mentioned it with ARTPOP pre era one being pop the other experimental. 

Experimental is so subjective it really means nothing.

I don't hate Anti or Formation, I am just whelmed by Formation. I am enjoying Anti alot more now that I am listening to it without hype.
