Rewatching the Paparazzi video does make it all seem like a very calculated move but thats just me :duck:

Not just you. Definitely the paparazzi video but also listen to the lyrics of The Fame. She sings about something she desires: retro Hollywood glamour. I swear Gaga can see the future. But going back to my beloved beast, ARTPOP. Well not only is it the album that "destroyed" Gaga - it's also destroyed pop music. Why DOES pop music feel so forced and mundane these days, we all ask? Which major pop star is next to flop, we all wonder? But want to know why? Blame ARTPOP.

As everybody has said: whether or not it was intended, ARTPOP explored the idea of the decay of the public perception of the superstar, even if not explored within the album itself.

I'm always curious as to the sonic evolution of the album. I feel like at one point, it was gonna be crazier than it ended up being (PARTYNAUSEOUS, the description of Tea), and then it just... changed.

3 points in and ready for more
