Technically, had he been alive he would also have gotten one. He basically deserves at leas 3 Nobel Prizes for his big discoveries.

Might, only might :(

I will never see a big bang from a spaceship hotel in another galaxy :(

But seriously now, my knowledge about this subject is really basic, like what they teach us in school for few lessons.. I would be happy to get an explanation about how it's going to help us now and what we can discover now :)

Hmm but we have no? laser tag.. it's not real? so HIMYM lied to me all this time?:omg:

Basically what this discovery is saying, is that big objects moving in space, like black holes, can creates waves in space (space-time is bendable with enough energy). Sow now they will be able to create telescopes that detect gravity waves instead of electromagnetic waves (like the ones for TV/Radio/Internet), and we will be able to study new mysterious things. This might lead to discoveries of unknown things including possibly very advanced alien civilizations that might be able to create gravity waves on their own.

If this isnt news i dont know what is!!! Amazing, it also proves by that than the space and time can be distorted, and the time inst linear...wow, just wow

Yes! I am a physics major. And what I can tell you is that the faster you move, the slower time becomes for you.

This is awesome! and exciting!!

But it doesn't mean that we can actually travel in space and "drive" through the light speed.. like you know, in movies and stuff.. (damn it makes me look dumb lol)

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Actually, since is now confirmed that there are space gravity waves, someone might be able to come up with a space ship that can ride them or even bend space itself.

omg it would be amazing!

But will it still be slow? because we can't really "drive" with the speed of light.. we will become energy or hmm nothing..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
