Where was the technology for a start? A facial projection isn't new and neither is a moving piano. Gaga herself was okay but I can see why people would say it was a karaoke version rather than a tribute. I don't know, this is too much disappointment for 10AM. I was disappointed because my expectations were high. I have finally learned that I shouldn't get too excited even how awesome something that Gaga will do may sound. Like today, good morning america? scrappy 302 Posted February 16, 2016 Share Posted February 16, 2016 I loved the performance! Sure, it was a bit fast paced but it was an amazing tribute to Bowie's career. My favorite segments were Space Oddity and Rebel Rebel. I didn't really like the Heroes arrangement, i thought it was too overblown but maybe that's because it's one of my favorite songs ever and I love the original instrumental. Amazing performance! If there hadn't been so much hype, I think the general reaction from fans would have been very different. To be honest, I can understand where people are coming from. Apart from the facial mapping at the start and the projection of Gaga on the screen, I'm not sure what other technology was supposed to be so extraordinary. The things on Gaga's hands didn't seem to be doing much, unless I'm missing something? Anyway, I think people should just forget about being overhyped and watch the performance with fresh eyes, because it's pretty incredible in my opinion. However, a couple of things ruined it for me: There was way too much hype and unnecessary advertising for next to nothing in the technology department. I I think she should've stuck to 3 songs.
