If you listen to Aura's vocals, watch Swinefest, and interpret G.U.Y.'s lyrics, you can see obvious signs that Gaga purposefully directed the album in a less "POP" manner. Interscope tried to push the more popular songs like Applause and DWUW, while Gaga seems to have wanted Aura and Venus instead. After the break-up, she released G.U.Y. which also included Venus in the music video. G.U.Y. was the last music video for ARTPOP, and if we consider the trend that the last music video of an era foreshadows her future work, then we can see that Gaga wished to return with her beauty and power in performances such as the ones for the Oscars 2015 and Super Bowl 50. That is digging their own grave, cos things can go wrong no matter how well planned they are with it. Because when one put thise silly plan into motion, they will include the general people and the fans that have no idea and they can alwaya react differently than planned!
