That being said, I have a problem with Beyoncé. This popstar has been able to operate with subtlety and ride on whatever cause is trending or controversial at the moment, pretending to be a social activist, while never really contribute in a meaningful and sincere way. When you look closely you see the emptiness of it and the lack of depth in her messages. I smell so much bs when she does that kind of things. This comparison is ridiculous, since those 2 movements have contrary goals and values, but so is Beyoncé. Beyonce has never called herself an activist. Most artists would say the same about themselves. Rather, they reflect what is going on in their generation. Beyonce has a voice and I'd rather her reflect our generation's struggles/movements/etc. than sit on the sidelines and say nothing about it. The Black Panthers PROMOTED violence and preached that blacks were superior to all races and that they should go attack all non-blacks at night. They were a terrorist group and MLK spoke against very much. To this day they are regressive to the civil rights movement. They were even publicly AGAINST the Civil Rights movement and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. I'm not seething but you should be because this group is against racial equality. Liberal media, such as the Guardian, is also outraged soooo And your POINT IS? I can't at you downing the Black Panther Party when we had Jim Crow Laws, KKK, and other systematic racism put into place against us. Yes MLK and Malcom X had extremely different methods, but the Civil Rights Act would not have been passed if it weren't for them both. The only reason why Hoover worked with MLK was because he was absolutely terrified of Malcom X and the Black Panther Party. It worked out in everyone's favor except for racist pricks. The media turned everyone against them because of their radical ways, and I'm proud of Bey for giving them the credit they deserve. The same method was used for the opposing activists during the Women's Suffrage Movement and it worked out. Take an American History course and you would know this. It's science, bitch
Shipper 12,876
I read some of the comments in the facebook page and one of the complaints was that they do not want ANY political statement in their entertainment, specifically during the Super Bowl. Beyonce did the opposite because she chose to be vocal about her view point. Basically, some people in the comment section were saying that they just want the entertainment with no thought or meaning behind it because they want to be distracted from their real lives. I realize that IF people are already complaining about Beyonce's performance and call it racist, then I think those same people will be less tolerant to the LGBT population. I would imagine these very same people would complain about Gaga's BTW song If she ever perform it during half-time and promote LGBT rights or have a similar theme. People just don't want political stuff in their entertainment. Just a thought. 💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕📦💕

However, they do have an advantage which must be recognized (and where did I ever say I hated heterosexual men?? please give me receipts). If you think we are all equal (in the sense that equality is our current state) you need to take a look at the news. I really hope you don't think we have achieved equality. Except for the additional innocent cops and women and children that were killed??? Because of Malcolm X there is still racism today. I truly believe that if the civil rights movement wasn't marred by violence there would be MUCH better race relations today. Malcolm X and the Black Panthers were public advocates against the civil rights act and movement. To say they advanced it is absolutely moronic.
