The US is once again the Nation of the world fueling oil consumption US crude demand rose 8% in the past year the first major increase since the 2008 financial crisis. Lower unemployment resulting in more driving, and falling gas prices increasing sales of SUVs and light trucks are likely to blame Still, due to Coal Plants being gradually shut down (Coal is the most toxic fossil fuel) overall emissions in the US are still falling slightly.
