I can't stop watching. I love the choreo when they are in the car park.

Also, does anyone else get slight G.U.Y teas when they are in the empty pool (The first part)

LOL After a decade and a half of wearing her sleek blonde weaves, never embracing her natural hair for the most part, all of a sudden now she sports an afro and/or all braided to preach empowerment in a crappy urban song.  The video is saying, Hey, look, I'm one of y'all.  But then after filming is over,  "Now let me get this nappy hair off and get my usual sleek white hair back on  and retreat to my mega mansion in a mostly white rich enclave in a gated community with a guardhouse at the gates, and later go over to Chris Martin's mansion for a barbecue."  LOL  I guess it's good that someone this high profile can get the video seen which drives home points to be made.  Too bad her sister didn't make it..  But I'm not the target audience, so it doesn't matter what I think or feel is contrived by Bey.  It matters what her black fans think.

The video is interesting and timely and art, at least.

IMO it's a pretty terrible song.  The lyrics are shockingly bad and so is the actual production.

Video is great but shouldn't be the best part.  How many writers did this one take?  Genuinely curious...

I like that she tries out new things and heads towards a more experimental direction. The song itself, however.... It still has to grow on me

She delivered as usual. This song + video are just so fresh and neat. Loving it.

I think to the average listener, yes the lyrics aren't as strong. But if you actually listen to what she's talking about, it's a very powerful message!

I think the message gets lost in the lyrics.  The video is the vehicle for the message not necessarily the lyrics.

yea the video and hooks are basically what's making this song so popular. Literally everyone on social media is talking about "Red Lobster", "Slay", and "Jackson 5"

It's grown on me, it's not as bad as people are making out, it's  catchy and will make people dance, which i think was the goal
