Her lyrics aren't wack, You just don't understand them. And those trap instrumentals are dope. Quit being a hater. I'll tell you what's wack and tacky, the pop "music" on top 40 radio right now. BEYONCÉ was a great album and her next album I think will be even better.

What I'm saying is that if a song isn't the pop bop you girls hope for, it's all of a sudden "not good". A song DOESN'T have to have a catchy chorus in order for it to be good. In order to reach masses and entertain people like you and 80% of this board, it does. But that's exactly the point of this song and video. F*ck the masses, let her do her thing. It's raw and it's urban. If you don't like it, you have her entire discography of catchy songs to enjoy. And why would you bother bringing up Beyonce's writing anyway? Like, if you simply googled the making of her previous album, you'd see she is in and out of the writer groups that were working on the songs. She also contributed to all of them and she curated the entire project. Why are you guys obsessed with writing credits? Do you also dislike Whitney Houston for not writing IWALY? When a song fits with an artist, it fits. Regardless of who wrote it. I understand frustration with artist that contribute almost NOTHING to their careers, theres a few of those pop-bots, but Beyonce is obviously not that. The woman fired her goddamn father in order to have complete control over her career. You can sit. PREACH. It's science, bitch
miju 375
A lot of people are acting like Beyoncé is supposed to release an easy pop hit or something that'll be a sure-fire smash and that's clearly what she's not going for, so idk why anyone is comparing her to gaga and the other pop girls? This song is obviously not meant to dominate pop radio. If anything, I love how she's really embracing so much and using her platform as such a huge artist to make a video like this. People on here can accuse her of pandering to the tumblr crowd or whatever, but who cares? she could easily make a pop hit and have it soak up the Super Bowl promo but instead she put out a single filled with self-love messages and putting important social issues at the forefront of her new music. It's unapologetic and I respect that so much doseofamnesia. tumblr. com
