The sports facilities alone are something you would never see in these other areas. You can't offer these services and a campus like we see in the US for free. And I highly doubt these universities will comply. They'll probably go private and then only the rich will be able to go to nice universities while everyone else goes to the free CC. I mean we already have ridiculously expensive private universities already... I can't imagine the public state schools doing the same. I truly wish the free university thing was possible... MAYBE they can come up with something but it is one of Sander's ideas that I think won't go through. But I do think the costs are still very high. Education should not be this expensive. To make the majority of state schools free, the cost would end up coming from the middle class and the majority of these state schools with top notch everything would go private. So, then all the kids from lower incomes would go to community colleges and all the kids from upper income families would go to the state turned private schools. Also, what would happen to the school programs? Because a lot of people now go to CC for two years and then transfer to a 4 year university. Most do it to save money.
