It's "understandable" because she moved a lot and it was really hard to keep her breath, but I still don't like it. It's not enjoyable at all, and sometimes distracting because the backing track is so obvious over her own voice. I'd rather have her sit on a chair than use backing vocals. Having backing tracks and lipsyncing are two completely different things. They're unrelated. LipSyncing is when you PRETEND to sing, so you move your lips to make people believe you are actually singing what's coming out of the speakers. Whereas having a backing track is just that. A backing track. You're not pretending that it's actually you, and you're not trying to decieve anyone. Gaga uses backing tracks because she sometimes needs to focus on her dance or whatever. She does not however pretend to sing while not actually doing it. She doesn't move her lips without sound coming out of her mouth. There is a huuuge difference and it really frustrates me that people cannot seem to figure out this crucial difference. Greg 6,330 Posted February 5, 2016 Share Posted February 5, 2016 I don't know if this applies for all dates, but at artRAVE when backing tracks were used, you could still hear Gaga singing over them and harmonising with them, but it wasn't picked up in videos. I'm pretty sure that was the case at my BTWB date too, but I honestly can't remember. I don't think there was a single person who left the arena or stadium who would have said Gaga was lip-syncing.
