Well she said that she was in so much pain during this performance. She also tweeted 12th February 2013 that "I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for a sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal."

@ 2:37 when she screams in pain gets me every time

makes no sence. She would not have made it passed half of the BTWB. She already confirmed her doctor told her hip was broken 3 monts before actually injurring herself. So around november of 2012 (around my btwb date lol)

I doubt her injury started that long ago. Its possible but I feel like she would have said something by now. Gaga has explained a lot of the details of her injury. I'm pretty sure I remember her saying her injury started a few months before the tour got cancelled. it just kept getting worse until she couldn't walk anymore.

The "swelling" was most likely just her gaining weight. Gaga has been gaining and losing weight her entire career, sometimes pretty dramatically. I can't even keep track of what her body looks like.

She did say it was progressive, which is typical for labral tears. Her injury might have started as something extremely minor, like a muscle pull or something. She never took care of herself and just kept performing, so the injury didn't have a chance to heal and got worse. She probably didn't even realize she was hurt because she was high on weed all the time and didn't feel it until the injury got more significant.

All of us have slight misalignments and imbalances in our bodies. When we overwork ourselves and/or exercise without proper form, these misalignments become progressively more and more pronounced. I don't think its a coincidence that Gaga is a lefty and got injured on her right side. Typically our dominant side is slightly more developed muscularly, which helps to protect us from injury.

Thank you, I understand now  :sara:

I don't think so. On that video from The Monster Ball it looks like she has fallen on her bottom rather than on her hip (sorry if there are grammar mistakes here). I've fallen several times like that while iceskating and I don't think that fall could have grimly injured her hip. It must have been gradual, like some of you have already said
