Quark 7,098
o<(0_0)>o I think that it is safe to say that Gaga's pre era is bigger than some the peaks of most pop stars careers. Most current pop stars have never touched the level of acclaim, demand, and overall success that Gaga has been having since last February. Artists like Selena Gomez, Arianna Grande, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, and Katy Perry, have not and may never achieve all the success in the forms of recognition, acclaim, and pop culture demand that Gaga has been receiving for a year. The only time most of these current pop stars receive any recognition is when they get into random fights on twitter or when they release catchy generic music for the masses. Meanwhile, Gaga is able to achieve massive recognition even when she doesn't have an album out because of her versatility, talent, uniqueness, passion, and charisma. And these are a combination of talents that only legends have.

Mobster 14,604
I think some of the artists you mentioned get a fair amount of acclaim during their eras, too... You probably won't see any threads about it on GGD, though. o<(0_0)>o But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

Edonis 28,950
Um, Ariana gets a lot of acclaim. People just write her off (on this cult site and other pop forums) because she looks really young and makes ok pop music. Here's hoping that moonlight slays a bit. Because Justin Bieber, as much as I dislike his music, is having a bigger "era" than Gaga right now (in terms of commercial success) But I'm only a man and I do what I can. He just popular on the radio and selling lots of songs. That is success, but not Gaga's level of success. Not everything is about the charts.
Prismatic 4,789
Gaga is in the spot light because she is doing a variety of things to help her image She is trying to get mass attention/staying in headlines to prepare for her upcoming era. Out of all the artist you've mention, Katheryn is the only one who isn't doing anything or promoting anything (she's having fun with her current lover, Orlando enjoying life), so off course she'll be quiet. If you want to get technical, Katheryn's PRISM era pre era was pretty big and hyped with the PRISM trucks, the hype on burning the blue weave got many fanbase hyped for a dark era, then she found the light and turn it into something light. Gaga's pre era is way bigger than anything Katy did during that pre era, and in some aspects even bigger than her actual era. You seriously must be joking when you mention that wig video as something important or as something people cared about.
