Warholiness 927
Gaga is a Bowie fan. They could've easily chosen a poser to do the tribute, but they handpicked the one person who has consistently credited David as their main source of inspiration. They'll just have to seethe. ShockPop 7,747
I'm the biggest bowie fan you'll meet and I approve of Gaga. Why would I care about other people's opinions?

Mobster 14,604
This isn't really surprising. Fans are always overprotective about their idols' work. Even if she absolutely nails it, they'll find a reason to complain. I don't really blame them for clinging to the untainted memory of Bowie, but I don't really care about their opinion. Obviously no one will replace Bowie but Gaga is definitely a great candidate: talented, determined, hardworking and above all, a lifelong Bowie fan. But I'm only a man and I do what I can. AnglerfishbraBENUS 5,549
I hate how they think 'pop music' is taking over and real artists aren't doing the job... but that's probably sexist because Gaga is a better musician than most.

I try to think, how would we all feel if Gaga (god forbid) passed away and a relatively new girl who started her career rocking meat was chosen to pay homage to her? I'd be torn on it, I guess. Everyone needs to remember that we've seen more of Gaga's highs than these guys, I'm sure she'll do a great job but she's got a pretty hard task in trying to please everyone.
