You're never too big to take a shot at something that was a career defining moment for Whitney!  Plus Gaga's brand for 2016 is "no, she really can sing".   This will once again proove it.

How can she be too big to sing the National Anthem?  It's one of the hardest songs to sing, and all the greats have sung it at one time or another.

She makes no sense.

For once this woman makes perfect sense, Gaga should be the halftime performer AND sing The National Anthem.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

It's interesting to me that legitimately the only time I've ever seen anything about this woman is on this site.. Like, is she even relevant in real life, cause if I wasn't on this site, I'd have no clue who she is :toofunny: It's just interesting why we always talk about her and her opinions :emma:

Wendy is actually a media legend... Her radio show on Hot 97 (NYC) was iconic among the 90's East coast hip-hop/rap scene. She was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2009.

Her 2003 interview with Whitney Houston is the stuff of LEGEND!!! This was Whitney's first interview after the disastrous Diane Sawyer interview, and Whitney was clearly HIGH AS A KITE. Whitney's health aside, these interviews showcase what an absolute firecracker Whitney Houston was when she was ****ed up. I love these.

"Whitney, Whitney, Whitney..."

"Wendy, Wendy, Wendy... OH MY LORD, have I waited for this day."

...it never gets old!!! Freaking classic!!

Does this look like everyone hates Coldplay?  60,000 capacity.

Omg that stage kind of reminds me of the ARTPOP Ball tour stage:air:

Is she supposed to exclusively love or exclusively hate everything Gaga does?

It's not that, it's that she always takes it to an EXTREME one way or another

I highly dislike this woman and how her opinion changes with the wind, but strangely she encapsulated how I felt when people elsewhere we're bringing up who they thought should do the Bowie tribute (Arcade Fire, St. Vincent, etc.) and I thought, yeah, those artists are supremely talented and great...but they're not Lady Gaga.

Anyway, it's huge honor for her to join the ranks of all the vocalists who have done the National Anthem, I can see her "too big" argument, but I think Wendy forgets Whitney, Mariah, and Beyonce were also the ~Pledge Person.

I'd love to see Gaga perform, but right now it's Coldplay's turn. All this positive press, I'm so proud and happy for Gaga and want people to be excited for her, but the main event (this year) is Coldplay, so let's let them have their moment in the sun too, Wendy.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I hope Gaga wears a dress made entirely from plastic African-American skin toned nipples, and tops it off with a blonde bob and a giant Philip Tracy black areola fascinator.

I hope she screams the national anthem like Rosanne Barr, and I hope she stops in the middle of the song to talk about how ****ed up it is that everyone at home is eating guacamole while the players are being inflicted with permanent brain damage for our entertainment.

Cause a scene Gaga, I dare you.

But more importantly, they don't do the pledge of allegiance in schools anymore?
