Oh look who's back on the "we love Gaga" train again. So done with fake people pretending to care only when you succeed. I can only imagine what this must feel like for people like Gaga who are the target of fake people. :emma:

I hope she stops in the middle of the song to talk about how ****ed up it is that everyone at home is eating guacamole while the players are being inflicted with permanent brain damage for our entertainment.

But more importantly, they don't do the pledge of allegiance in schools anymore?

Those players are making millions of dollars. Many of them are making more in one year than most of us will make in a lifetime. No one is making them play football. They can go get a regular job, if they want to. They don't have school loans either, because they had five years of college education that didn't cost them a dime. Most of them didn't even have to pay for books!

Yes, they still do the Pledge of Allegiance in school, but they don't sing the National Anthem.

Well, I agree with Wendy 89% on this one.

Gaga OBVIOUSLY won't wear anything avant garde but probably something uniquely fashionable and respectfully appropriate for the national anthem (at the Superbowl of all places). I really wish people would acknowledge that Gaga has sang the NA beautifully before at a gay pride event (imagine what she would sound like now 4 years down the line). It does seem likely that even though all of these events and all of this positive criticism WILL be sensitive to a few bullets like she said about JJ's accidental exposure, but I think Gaga knows what she's doing and where she's going.

Slightly off topic, another example is of the Oscars POSSIBLY becoming an awkward time to further do with TIHTY as there is a slight possibility of DWUW's video leaking. That could REALLY make things more complicated than ANY outfit she's ever worn.

telephone-lady-gaga-32514681-640-360.jpg

inbefore she shows up dressed like this, and starts singing national anthem and then suddenly her phone rings and she stops singing, answers the phone and says " hello? beyonce?" and says "shes always interupting in the middle of my show" and then beyonce shows up and they finally perform telephone together

Well I agree with what she said. She needs to NOT mess up the words, and the outfit should be something elegant, something simple, not Gaga crazy definitely.

Ok, I left this community long ago, but I still visit it every now and then, and there's something I want to say about this whole: "DWUW's clip destroying her career/Oscar chances": is just a music video, period.

* She is not a rapist.

* The song isn't about rape

* The video isn't about glamorizing rape.

R. Kelly was accused of sexual assault, and that's why the video was cancelled, and Christina's amazing remix happened, that's it. It was cancelled precisely because, given the person she collaborated with, it wasn't appropriate to release it due its sexual content, and out of respect to the victims I suppose.

Now, she herself and her label need to stop acting as if she's eating kids alive on that video, it literally makes it look like she's got something really dirty to hide, and it's actually just a silly video of a catchy song about being strong and not letting others humilliate you.

Now, I've seen info about the leaked screenshots, being uploaded by an account called "Till It Happens To You" or something like that, I mean, at this point, is pretty obvious that someone has the video and is only waiting a day or two before her oscars performance to leak it, and "damage" her image.

So I'll go straight to the point: I think her label should simply release it.

Perhaps not on her YouTube channel, but she should post it on her Facebook page, together with a statement, like: "Listen, I made this video, because I thought it was an empowering message, it was about not giving any power to those who want to put you down, it was about being more than just a body, it was about having a passionate heart; and I collaborated with this person because I liked his music. Then the person I collaborated with was accused of sexual assault, and yes, of course we wouldn't release the video, but it was never meant to be a glamorous take on sexual abuse, it was all about overcoming fear, and being strong regardless of how others treat you".

Honestly, by properly releasing it, and explaining the situation, they'll just end the rumours, speculations, possible nasty headlines, and they'll literally take any power away from those trying to "stain" her by leaking the video.

Is literally just a video, and nothing disgusting happens in it, nor she jokes about rape.

Her label should properly release it now, together with a statement, and shade some light over an issue that looks dark when it shouldn't be so, Gaga has actually nothing to hide, she just made a great song, with a great message, and well, things happened, her collaborator was accused of horrible things, but she literally has nothing to do with it :duck:

I don't know, I think keeping it hidden as if it was something dirty and obscure only makes it worse. Realease it, talk about it, and all the rumours will end. Just my two cents.

* Sorry for being off-topic, I jus had to say it.

Don't allow the envy you feel for these athlete's salaries and free education to somehow absolve your conscious of the role you are playing in their pain by defending the NFL or by being a spectator to the sport of football.

Your argument is that as long as people are paid well enough they should be able to kill themselves for our entertainment, if they so choose? What an abominable thought. Particularity abominable when you consider many of them didn't know the risk. The NFL is facing a class action law suit form former players for covering up the link between football and long term brain damage.

Why anyone would waste a breath defending the NFL in light of everything we know about them is beyond me, but I suppose some people are as blinded by money as the NFL.

It's not like that. She is not a sheep. Maybe she criticized her when she deserved to be called out (when her work was not up to par to what ppl expect from her) but now that she is doing good, Wendy gives credit where it's due. It's not like AP was worthy of so much praise, let's not. The numbers were just not there :koons:

Again Wendy dosent lie...

Only thing that shes wrong about is Gaga being wrong for National anthem. I think Wendy will eat those words and the GP will all be talking about Gaga the next day.

Shes absolutely right about the words and if something should go wrong during the song. Its practically a sin to make a mistake singing the national anthem and It would probably destroy her career if she gets it wrong since the GP already is so unsure about gaga sometimes. So yes classy Gaga needs to be there and be 100%

I'm really glad that she can give credit where it's due, but Gaga's commercial success isn't the only thing she has been criticizing. There are tons of videos where she bashes her for simply being herself.

Also, she can be very mean to people she's discussing and I'm just not a fan of people who use the attention they get to bad mouth others. At the end of the day she's doing what each and every one of us is doing on the internet, but I hope that one day she realizes that her voice reaches thousands of people and that she should use it to spread positivity. There's already so much crap going on in this world.

Her crowd seems kinda brainwashed, it's like she could say they all should drink piss for lunch and they would agree

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
