Wait, does that mean Beyoncé and Katy Perry and Madonna all lip-synced? All did they sing over pre-recorded vocals?

Do y'all even watch football? Suddenly a forum full of homos knows how the anthem at this event works? Usually the NFL does NOT allow live vocals due to acoustics.

The question shouldn't be "is gaga going to use pre-recorded vocals?" but rather "will the NFL let her sing live?"

They don't give a crap about star power. If they made Whitney lip it, Gaga won't be any different.

She'll probably have to ask permission and if they say yes, then we will hear her live. If they say no, she'll either suck it up and lip it or stay at home.

Live or not, we know she can sing and as is customary for this event, it doesn't matter if she's lipping or not.

shut them down:giveup:

She didn't lip-sync at the European Games, why would she now? :green: My dad always thinks she lipsyncs but that time he actually said it was live lol

Artists don't lip-sync at the Super Bowl just because. Sometimes the overall sound is horrible in a stadium if you don't have enough time to soundcheck and the NFL never wants to risk a mishap or screw up with their sound system since the performance stage is often set up at the last minute, which doesn't give time for all plugs and cords to be hooked in. Whitney did lip her National Anthem, same as Beyonce and others. Gaga might give a little push back on it but don't count it out.

Singing the National Anthem isn't the same as singing the Halftime show. Gaga's "stage" will be a platform and a microphone.

I do agree that they do it because they're afraid of a mishap, but I think Gaga will want to do it live at any cost lol

Another thing: it's not an issue of artistic integrity, it's a technical issue.

The NFL isn't going to pay for the installation of acoustic treatments to absorb the sound waves from live vocals because SHOCKER it's a football game, not a concert

You just keep on spilling that hot tea, huh??   :applause:   :applause:

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Lmao she's not lypsyincing, it's just that the performance is going to be recorded before it's broadcasted.

probably so they can edit out all the times she replaces 'free' with 'gays'

My guess is that they will use a pre-recorded video and audio for the actual 'performance'. We won't know until the superbowl, so let's not get worked up over speculation.

It isn't comparable, the superbowl has had a lot of controversy for its performances, and if someone decided to suddenly say '**** america' over the loud speakers, its them who would be to blame.

I can't be the only one who thinks that even with dancing and "stage presence", lip syncing is not okay. I do often find it hilarious that a 30something woman is dancing around to the recorded vocals of a 16/17 year old girl. If they were re-recorded, that would even be an improvement.

Call me crazy, but I would rather pay money to hear one of a kind talented vocals than go to a "glorified light show".

You're not crazy, you just have different taste. I'm a big fan of Britney because her shows are top notch. I don't mind the lip syncing, she's Britney Spears, live singing isn't her thing. That doesn't invalidate her other talents.
