I think Gaga said in an interview with Howard Stern something like "Never meet your heroes, you might get disappointed"; I always wondered who she meant - but when Stern asked Gaga if she has ever met Bowie, she answered with NO - she did meet Iman several times however and called her "lovely" and a "friend". So who knows. It doesn't matter in the end - Gaga always loved Madonna, but we know for some time Madge wasn't too found of her, so yeah - same goes for Grace Jones. This has always been Gaga's dream, and I think the timing was right, with David's new album, etc. Also, Gaga hasn't written a statement about his death that makes me think she didn't want to seem like she was exploiting his passing to promote her new track with him. I dont start crap I'm wondering why Bowie hasn't said a thing about Gaga (which was a HUGE popstar and Bowie had an obvious influence on her) the same time he mentioned his appreciation for other newbees pop artists like Lorde.
