Himeros26 1,688
I don't understand all the Bernie hate. His ideas = What Hilary takes to lie about to appeal to the middle class. She is trying so hard to appeal to people who are minorites and it's just ... Sad. Are we not gonna discuss the coin tosses that should have lost her delegates rather than gained? Or the fact that when Bernie was ahead her people kept demanding recounts until she was tied or ahead then they ceased recounts when bernie supporters called upon them? Seems like Hilary and her followers are all intimidated by Bernie.

Oh and I don't think people dislike Bernie as much as the Berniebots. Even Bernie's camp has apologized for their behavior. People tend to disapprove of Bernie because he's promising too much and wants to overhaul too much, as if that ever works. Him winning is vastly preferable over any Republican candidate though, so he's got my support at least. Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

It's expected for him to win New Hampshire. If he doesn't it would be very odd. His failure in Iowa despite its liberal socialist leanings and the caucus's tendency to attract activists (much of Bernie's supporters are) crushed his momentum. Edited just now by LebaneseDude. Besides Vermont, New Hampshire has more (percentage-wise) white liberal Democrats than any other state. A win by Bernie has always been expected in NH. Bernie will win, but it won't be a game changer.

Is this Trump-phenomena just hype and PR and nothing serious when it comes to actually voting? It was surely an interesting turn of events. Seeing as he was leading with a few % in every poll there was. No, it's not just hype. Iowan Republicans are known for voting with religious, evangelical candidates. The fact that Trump was able to get second in this state is actually pretty impressive. Trump is still leading in the overall polls, but that doesn't mean he will be leading in every state.
