I guess she's willing to take this risk. Actually she had ridden a motorcycle without a helmet. Recently she has worn a helmet, but her and Taylor aren't wearing protective clothing. Ofcourse I trust Taylor, but you can't trust everyone on the road. If you have to make a sudden move, the asphalt could easily scrape the skin off your legs, even if you go slow.  

 

I grew up around horses, my sister rides professionally and even she got thrown of into a wall once, luckily just leaving her with a heavy concussion. She was wearing a helmet and always does. Horses are unpredictable, even the tame once. As I said, I guess Gaga feels in control and is willing to take the risk, which is fine cause it's her life. I do feel a bit worried since the saddle is not strapped on properly, and the reigns are very long, especially when she got on in that big flowy dress, she was tempting disaster. But she seems to take it slow, not galloping yet. Sarah Tanno used to ride horses, she might be helping Gaga learning her the basics.

My great great great great grandpa died in a horse riding accident, and it was actually very common at the time

Gaga does dangerous things all the time. There's nothing we can do about it.  Try not to worry.  I know it's hard but try, ok?

Out of all the things that she does that are dangerous and not thread-worthy, this one made me laugh. Sorry about it.

And takes a running jump off of a ten foot runway into a crowd of people, that may...of may not catch her. Or runs, dances, spins and jumps on that nine foot in the air plexiglass platform every other night for months. Or stands on her piano bench with high heals on, with one leg on the piano. Or flies on a small private plane frequently. Or rides down the California freeway in a convertible, old classic car. (Which is a death trap, if involved in a minimum accident on a freeway) Or rides on a motorcycle, period. 

So much to worry about...

It's nice that you're concerned. That's the important part. But, as everyone has said, Gaga could injure herself do literally ANYTHING and she has before. Girl has broken her hip by dancing. It doesn't seem like she's doing anything too extreme with the horse, so I'm not concerned. I have many friends who own many horses and it's one thing to competitively ride horses and another to just simply take a stroll with her horse on small land, which is what she seems to do. Either way, no need to be paranoid of everything she does. She's a human being. Let's let her live her life and be happy she's happy.
