Thing is, straight pride is normally used to convey anti lgbt messages and ideologies, so yes is does run counter to what LGBT believe in. Secondly, straight pride is not at all needed. Pride is about the celebration of the raising of awareness, the growth in rights and recognition and is something straight people don't need.
