A man has been arrested with two guns at an entrance to a hotel at Disneyland Paris, French police said.

The 28-year-old is not known to security services and gave no resistance when he was detained, according to French media reports.

Police said the man was also found with a copy of the Koran. He was stopped during a security check.

France remains in a state of emergency following the deadly Islamist attacks in Paris in November last year.

Police said they were searching for a companion travelling with the man.

Disneyland Paris is among Europe's most popular tourist destinations.

A police source told the AFP news agency that a preliminary investigation did not point to terrorism, and that the man had said he was carrying the weapons because he feared for his safety.

Papers found on the suspect indicated that he lived in Paris, the source added.

He reportedly co-manages a brassiere in the French capital.

"For me, it's a mistake," said a member of the bar staff.

Police also arrested a woman, believing her to be the man's girlfriend, but later released her when they realised they had got the wrong woman, French media reported.

Really? Disneyland? Keep kids out of this.

...bit too late for that.

The man was found with a copy of the Qur'an? Shock.

I read that as "Europe's most popular terrorist destinations."

This really has to stop. I live in an island that I don't think will be of interest for a terrorist attack, but even though I fear everyday for me, my family and friends because I'm scared that something will happen. I fear that things will get worse and seeing what is happening in the world it's really scary to even think about traveling. On this days even a small vacation at Disneyland could be your last one.

Can I vanish into a cheeseburger pizza?

Don't compare the two please. KKK is hardly relevant nowadays.

What the **** does relevancy have to do with anything? The atrocities the KKK committed will always be relevant. There are many KKK members within the US police force and society, they're in hiding. Nazism often goes hand in hand and Nazism/skinheads are an EPIDEMIC.

His point is that it's not shocking this potential dangerous individual is 'most likely' a Muslim.

It's not discriminatory to observe that nearly all terrorists in the West call themselves Muslims or have this radical Islamic ideology.

This isn't saying all Muslims are terrorists, it's saying most terrorists observed call themselves Muslims.

This harms Muslim communities.

They're a pest in the USA at best. Their atrocities are not happening at a mass scale nowadays either, so I don't see why you're comparing them to a current threat.

There is no non-Muslim organization that poses the same worldwide international threat as ISIS and other Islamic terrorist groups taking a page from its book.

Attempting to whitewash the role Islam plays in zealotry by using other examples of religious zealotry is also ignorant at best.

I don't think you know how to use the term whitewash.

Anyway Nazism/ White supremacy is on the rise in many parts of Europe and is becoming a serious problem which will eventually reach to that of ISIS

You say this as if it would offend me? Ha. Both biblical texts are absolute rubbish and brainwash people.  Don't be foolish.

I'm not sure if religion is the opiate of the masses anymore or the ammunition.

You're attempting to use a false analogy to deliberately conceal the role Islam is playing. That's whitewashing. Perhaps you thought it had something to do with race like most people do here?

And no... no it isn't.

No... no it isn't. There's anti-Middle Eastern bias if anything.

have you heard of Breivik? Are you aware that people looking like you are often victims of hate crimes in major European cities. In Russia these groups are openly practising with knives and record themselves beating up or stabbing darker/foreigner looking people.
