JusKeepBreathin 19,311
Garth Brooke's the one and only King of Country Music wants a collaboration with Lady Gaga and people on this site are saying no. The fûcking nerve. He has sold close to 100 million albums in the US alone! He is only behind Elvis as the best selling artist in the US and he was the best selling artist of the last 20 years. If the king wants a duet with our queen we should be more open to it. Bad Bromance 5,809
I don't think Gaga's going to go Country so you guys can stop hyperventilating now. I wouldn't mind if they collaborated on a song in the future and she put it in her album, kind of like You & I is a track off Born This Way. As for Gaga going completely Country? I honestly don't think that would ever happen. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Born Brave 2,072
You & I was produced by Mutt Lange, who for years slayed country with Shania Twain. So yes. I could see Gaga having country success. Nashville is literally right down the road from me so it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit... Also, some of YALL shouldn't be so hard on Country as a genre.. afterall if it's so damn easy to do country why did Taylor Swift just crossover and destroy all your faves? ALSO, if country sucks ass so bad, why did the woman you worship go to a country concert??? huh huh huh? answer me that ****. lol.

(read the article) http://www.dallasvoice.com/garth-brooks-back-good-gay-folks-10200687.html I know he's older now and his looks have definitely changed but back when this picture was taken in the 90s, I used to swoon over him. I mean look at him, he's hot AF! I'd let him have me any time he wants back then. Not so much now, though, but back then? Totally!! I don't care what you think about unless it is about me. (Ok, so it's a successful album) Anyway, I think we have plenty of artist that could go country and Gaga is definitely not part of that. Taylor Swift is crazy successful in the genre. But it wasn't until her pop songs in Red and 1989 that she had a breakout on the international scene. And even today we can say she is still a US-darling. It's just not music that can have wide appeal outside the US. And I seriously doubt Gaga's ability to really rule in the genre. You and I is I think the closest thing to country (well it has some influence) and it's one of my least favourites in Gaga's disocgraphy. And don't come at me. I simply express my personal opinion. I don't hate country, I'm indifferent to it. I do truly love what Ed Sheeran did on + but I'm not sure if that is country? It's folk/soul and it's British, I dunno it's marvelous but I can't quite imagine Gaga doing it.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and stayed there for 50 non-consecutive weeks. It stayed in the Top Ten for 151 weeks. The album stayed on the top 10 for 54 weeks, set a record for longest stay in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 of 112 weeks, and in top 40 for 127 consecutive weeks. Surprising fact - Despite it's phenomenonal sales (40m WW), it has never topped the US Albums Chart Also, she's the only act to have 3 Diamond albums PS I don't recommend Country for Gaga at all.
