Should Gaga go country?

In a recent interview Garth Brooks was asked who he be interested to partner up with from outside the country music genre for a collaboration.

One of his choices, unabashedly was Lady Gaga.

(excerpt) "But I gotta tell ya, the person that kills me probably the most right now was actually at the show in Chicago, it was weird to have her in the audience, knowing that she was in the audience the whole time because it was a lot of pressure, was Lady Gaga. She’s a monster. Great entertainer. And the thing she did at the Oscars just showed everybody, hey, flip a coin. Want to go talent? She could go head-to-head with anybody. You want to go entertainment and craziness? She could go head-to-head with anybody."

Are there any hillbillies here?

Would you welcome a Garth Brooks collab?

god no thanks. if she wanted to do a one off performance or something I guess i'd be here for it but I can't deal with any more major genre flips in the near future.

Garth dominated because he put so much rock (and a bit of pop) into his country. He pushed past the pure twang of old country. He made it huge and Arena filling and that's why he ended up the number one album selling artist of all time.

A song like Speechless or You & I is already "country" enough. I'd love to see him co-write or even co-sing with her.

Nope. Gaga may be versatile but that doesn't mean she's capable of doing a decent job in each genre. Gaga doing country just sounds wrong in my head already :air:
