Her music isn't my favorite music in the world but because she sings it, it changes the perspective and I instantly like it. Alive is one of my favorite songs by her, very empowering and I feel with most of her songs she speaks for the underdog, for the ones thinking they can't do good etc, a more realistic approach. She's been through so much in her life so when she sings you know she's channeling some personal experience there She's such a persoanlity, she slays my holes. The point of the numbers is to detail the robotic repetition of drinking glass after glass of alcohol; she suffered from alcoholism for a long period of her life.
