If Taylor made music like Adele on her next album

Do you think she would see similar success? She has a huge fanbase and radio loves her. I think a more mature image would be really good for her, as many still see her as the crazy girl who only writes immature breakup songs. Plus she could really show off her singing abilities with a lead single like Hello.

So, how do you see it?

Not to be rude but I feel like Adele is successful because of her unique voice. Taylor can sing but I don't think she can sing and convey emotion in the same way that Adele does. I just can't imagine Taylor singing a song like Hello.

She'd need Adele's vocals to backup that success... Adele's approach works, because people know her for her voice. I don't think Taylor Swift is primarily known for her vocals :duck:

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

She doesn't that kind of belting, technically.

But thematically and lyrically, her songs are already pretty adult now tbh, also, love and dating themed songs are always relatable.

I don't think she on the same level as Adele vocally.
Lyrically, she could definitely do it (she's a very competent song writer and her songs are actually not that different from Adele's - specially considering the recurrent break-up theme), but, if she went ahead and asked her producers to make her songs sound a bit more 21/25-ish, people would bitch that she's trying to be Adele...you know, people love these stupid accusations...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Taylor has a basic voice. Nothing special, but she can sing.

Adele on the other hand, need I explain? Her voice is like an angel, you can relate to the way she sings her lyrics when she poured her heart out e.g Someone Like You and  Set Fire to the Rain.

In my messy era.

I love Taylor, but despite being pitch perfect, her voice during live performances is honestly annoying. I wouldn't be able too relate to an album sang with her voice. Adele's voice is deep, there's a thousand years of pain in every note, she's an old soul while both Taylor and her voice are a little childish to me. So I really don't get it.

Yeah, as echoed by everyone and their mother, Taylor Swift would need powerhouse vocals and breathtaking, highly emotional live performances to display said vocals with. It's never going to happen. Gaga's more likely to make music like Adele and see big success/ acclaim from it.

VOLANTIS

The whole Swiftie fanbase would turn on her like most LMs when Gaga turned to Jazz. And it wouldn't necessary make haters like her any better either so it wouldn't be a good choice for her 'Brand'

Adele has powerhouse vocal, Taylors doesn't. But even stylistically I can't see this, Taylor is about immature love songs, breakups etc. while Adele even if either about love, it's just another level. More mature. It just doesn't fit.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

OMG, everyone acting like Taylor is a bad vocalist :rip:

She can sing very well live, and here is the proof

I find her voice very beautiful.

Okay, I'm not saying she's not good vocalist. I just said she's not powerhouse vocalist like Adele or Gaga. It's another type of voice. These two for example have voices that can fill the whole hall without microphone, Taylor's voice isn't able to do that. But that was just example.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
