And I can't believe no one on here has mentioned Lady Grinning Soul.  It screams Gaga.

OMG you're right!! I've been listening to the whole Aladdin Sane record a lot lately and it never even occurred to me how perfect this would be.

In light of the announcement of Gaga's tribute to David Bowie being a REAL THING now, perhaps we can resurrect this thread and speculate some more...hmm?? :gaycat:

I need to hear her sing Life on Mars and watch the audience's hairs be plucked out of their scalps one by one, live from the comfort of my living room :air:

If the Grammy tribute is long enough for about three or four Bowie tunes (according to Billboard's statement, http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/6865866/lady-gaga-david-bowie-tribute-grammys) I feel that those three or four tunes are going to be picked from the absolute most classic, most loved, most well-known and important David Bowie songs, like:

- "Heroes" (Fun fact: in Rolling Stone Magazine's 2010 special collectors' 500 Greatest Songs of All Time issue, this song comes in at number 47)

- "Fame"

- "Let's Dance"

- "Changes"

- "Space Oddity"

- "Life On Mars?"

- "Starman"

- "Ziggy Stardust"

Yes, there are still "The Jean Genie," "Fashion," "Ashes to Ashes," "The Man Who Sold the World," "Aladdin Sane," "Modern Love," and so on for, like, 20 more songs, but the ones listed above are the ones that I think are the BEST of the best and most loved, the ones the entire world knows.
