An album that is including songs like ARTPOP, applause, aura, venus, guy, dope, do what you want, MANiCURE and gypsy can't be called a bad album

Elton John is a legend but sometimes he has to think before speak. Just like with his Madonna comments about the re invention tour

I find it funny how some members here shade ARTPOP , then say it's actually her best work, then after 2 days change their minds again and say it's awful, probably just because their friends don't like it. Lol.

Anyway, ARTPOP is my favorite album and it means a lot to me. Haters gonna hate.

P.S. Am I the only one who thinks that TF and TFM sound a bit dated and basic compared to BTW and ARTPOP? I'm not saying they're bad, but I think her latest albums outshined them.

Totally agree!

It's always extremely subjective - I for example think it's her weakest album regarding the concepts, but that's just me - I did enjoy it, when it came out.

It's not bad but it is by far her worst album she's released so far... :laughga:

Stressed, depressed, but well dressed.

ARTPOP (minus Jewels N Drugs) is actually a pretty great album :applause:

I actually like Jewels N' Drugs more than Mary Jane Holland. It's one of the very few masculine tracks on ARTPOP thanks to the rappers and the instrumental. It's underappreciated in my opinion.

Who does that?

I always thought ARTPOP was her best, but when you listen to all her albums (so from The Fame - Born this Way) and after that play ARTPOP, it just doesn't seem right. You just feel that it is NOT her best...

The thing with elton john is it doesn't really matter what the lyrics are coz you can't really make them out anyway. Maybe the subconcious gets some of it though but it is too much concentration too work out in real time. The lyrics sheet is needed to see whats hiding in there.

Elton is an idiot he can go listen to music from the 1800s or whatever. ARTPOP was an excellent album imo. Bite me

By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig.

ARTPOP was probably one of my favorite albums, conceptually, but I'm going to have to agree with Sir. Elton John when it comes to the production and the overall messiness of that era. The fact is that that album/era didn't do as well as the rest of her other albums, probably because the music wasn't up to par with what people expected of her.

However, he's completely entitled to his opinion, and he himself said that Gaga would agree to that. That being said, it doesn't mean that Gaga hates ARTPOP. She adores ARTPOP, but the final product of the album most likely didn't turn out the way that she had envisioned it.

You cannot say that "Elton John is wrong", because it was his opinion that it wasn't a great album.

And it all depends on your music taste! I don't get how people feel the need to have everyone love the album. That's what makes art, art. You love it or hate it but we can all appreciate it!
