Kelly, a man who raped and pissed on a thirteen year old girl. I don't understand how I can be the only Gaga fan who is put off by her singing a song like Till It Happens To You considering her collaborations with Kelly and Richardson. It's hypocritical at best. Was that thing with R.Kelly confirmed? Was he punished for it? I don't really know, so I'm asking. Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Dangerous Man 9,245
Also, she produced the song alone meaning she needed to re-arrange some of its structures, so that alone proves that she's credited as one of the song writers. Poor haters. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."

I don't know if I want to see that or not. Ugh, why must there always be something messy happening in Gagaland. Like I said, we live for the drama I don't think they'll argue. Diane probably respects Linda for stating her opinion, even though she disagrees. 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡

If this topic were something in Gaga Thoughts musing about credits and lyrical contributions, and whatever biases or hypocrisies certain members here have about it, then yes, that conversation would make sense. I'm no mod, you can yap about it all you want, but it still has nothing to do with what is actually happening right now, so whatever. So you think these posts are on-topic and reflective of what's actually going on in a news-related sense? "Bitch is just pressed that Gaga sang her own Song better than herself" "Hold on to your wigs girlies, it's that 2010-2011 season again where people wanna steal the spotlight from a "younger and newer" artist." "jealousy is a disease." "she seems mad that her song didnt get nominated" ... I didn't see you making a "Why are we bringing this up?" "It has nothing to do with what is actually happening right now" posts then. My posts are not more off-topic than all of those. And I'm actually discussing Gaga's songwriting credit unlike the majority of the people in here, so I really don't get why you're coming at me when I'm clearly discussing whether or not we should see Gaga's writing credit as deserved or not (and yes I use a comparative perspective because imagining the same situation in a different context usually gives a lot of clarity). The Grammy-winning artist was accused by multiple women over several years of having sexual relationships with minors, sometimes videotaping it, and thus creating child ****ography. Chicago police brought Kelly, born Robert Kelly, to trial on 14 felony charges in but the singer was found not guilty. Police in Florida also attempted to pursue child ****ography charges against Kelly but a judge tossed it, saying the evidence was obtained illegally. He was found not guilty, however there is video evidence that he did in fact have sex with an underage girl. He is guilty, and everyone, including Gaga knows he is guilty. That is one reason why Gaga winning an Oscar and profiting off of Till It Happens To You strikes me as a little slimy. But I guess that makes me an awful fan. elijahfan 25,771
Ok, thank you Linda for enlightening us with your knowledge about the functioning of the music industry, but there's nothing we don't already know here.... Of course getting Gaga in the spotlight was a way to give the song more attention, of course they're on a campaign to get an Oscar win, OF COURSE. But it's just not really nice to put people on the spot like that, especially friends and people that admire you and have expressed that admiration to you before. It's also funny coming from someone who wrote a song for a film this year (Free Held) and didn't get nominated - bitter much, hun? We already know Gaga has had little to no impact in the writing on the song, she has admitted it herself in the recent podcast they recorded, but hasn't she been herself very generous with writing credits in the past? It's not like she can't write songs by herself tbh... And she's still the producer of the song, so she definitely deserves that Oscar nom. It was still a creative collaboration. They have worked and shaped what became the final song together, and Gaga also admitted she didn't want to just come in and lay vocals on something preexistent - she wanted to have input, and there are 1000 ways to shape a song that doesn't include just changing words. I also think that the Oscars should recognize the performer when it comes to original song nominees, but that's another story. All in all, Gaga didn't steal her nomination, and I hope this won't have too much impact in the outcome of the ceremony.
BLACKOUTbritney 22,264
I don't care if she wrote it or not, Linda is just jealous because while Gaga is nominated for an oscar her main money bag Xtinct no longer is releasing music

Didymus 34,379
Were these posted? Just a reminder that Linda's not coming for Gaga. She's just saying the obvious. Though the decision to say the obvious is of course a bit petty imo. Then again, what's wrong about saying the truth.
