Ignoring is the best Diane and Gaga can do. They already have their nominations, now suck on that haters.

But they were both nominated for songwriting, and she's consciously ignoring one half of the equation. :air: Whatever, you're entitled to your own interpretation.

She's praising her vocals, her performance... She's not ignoring her. And... Gaga herself said TIHTY was kind of finished when Diane called her to co-wrote the song. So, we can't blame Perry on her comment.

Whatever... I think Monsters' reaction is just disproportionate.

Gaga fans are more responsible for this blowing up than anyone.  Overprotective fans blow stuff out of proportion and harrass others and the media picks up on it. Good job there Gaga fans.

Linda's last minute calculated twitter rant AFTER the nominations were released is a disproportionate reaction. Her intentions are obvious, stir some mud into Gaga's/Diane's Oscar campaign. This is why Monsters are reacting as such.

Well everyone here keeps saying that the production credit warrants Gaga's nomination anywhere but is that true? I can't seem to find any official information on who the recipients of the Best Original Song award actually are. Because if it is true then the matter of the nomination doesn't really matter because she's the only credited producer. Even though I think her production skills on this track are questionable but that's a whole different discussion.

As far as the writing credit goes, we knew how the process went. The fact that it's Oscar nominated is the only thing that has made you all freak out now. We knew it was originally "Diane's song" but they clearly worked together on it and changed it into what it is now. I don't think any of us are really qualified to call the extent of Gaga's involvement because none of us were there but I'd say it's obvious that Diane was the lead writer. That doesn't mean, however, that Gaga doesn't deserve her co-write credit even if her contributions were mostly musical/structural/the arrangement rather than the lyrics. It all qualifies.

Controversy only creates more publicity for the song which can only be a good thing.

I doubt any serious critic will think twice about voting for TIHTY, just because Linda Perry does not approve.

STOP PANICKING!
