Clearly Diane is avoiding this mess. She tweets multiple times a day and today not at all.

This would never have happened under Troy. You can thank Bobby for turning her into an award ceremony puppet & covers artist rather than directing her energies into LG5, which she's still writing lmao. Hope this gives Gaga a wake up call to focus on herself.

" THR is asking Warren, Gaga, Perry and the Academy for comment."

But this is not new, we already knew that the lyrics were not written by Gaga.

Even though, It's annoying that she tweeted all that. I mean, she knew perfectly that this was going to cause a huge drama, and it was completely avoidable. Now everybody is taking this out of context, there are some headlines manipulating information and creating a fake feud between them.

This is not big deal, Gaga doesn't have to prove anyone anything, she has written her whole discography, and she has stated before that the song was written by Diane, so she never lied to us about anything.

i think people are forgetting the actual issue at hand. Gaga may not have written the lyrics, and that in and of itself is fine; however, linda's issue is the fact that gaga has been nominated for an Oscar for having been credited as a songwriter. The singer/producer of the songs that are nominated do not get the nomination.

Being successful and rich does not make you immune to jealousy, stupidity and  being salty tho.:flop:

Certainly doesn't but someones said she was desperate which I highly doubt is the case. In any case everyone is entitled to express their own opinion on their own Twitter page.

We should just stop arguing about that. Most of us already knew Gaga did the minimum on this song, she even said it by herself. Some monsters on Twitter are really annoying. I think she just got upset because of all the negative comments from Gaga's fans on her POSITIVE comment about Diane and Gaga's nomination.

I'm a bit worry about the chance of winning now. I hope it won't influence the judges.

You should have been concerned about her winning the anyway-Diane Warren is NOTORIOUSLY SNUBBED everytime she is nominated for an Oscar.

You don't think it was backhanded in anyway? To know full well that both ladies were nominated, but only congratulate one of them for the songwriting?

This kind of controversy is what brings down a project's chance of winning. If it turns in something big The Academy could pretty much remove Gaga from the nomination.

Diane wrote the song, showed it to Gaga and Gaga changed chord progressions and melodies (which is also considered songwriting by a lot of people. Gaga for example credited RedOne as a co-writer for Gypsy for helping out with a few melodies, if I remember correctly). I think it all comes down to how you define co-writing a song, and Linda Perry is probably one of those songwriters that only consider coming up with lyrics as co-writing.

"Congratulations to all nominees especially @Diane_Warren you wrote a beautiful song and @ladygaga gave a powerful performance."

What's wrong ? She loves both of them. She also probably knows Diane wrote most of the song + had the idea, etc. This is not negative at all to me
