Yes, I'm being over dramatic, today is blue monday and it gives me a strong PMS teas. Sorry :(

Anyway the harms of this mess to the chances of the song on the Oscars, is real I think.

true but it was only after gaga's acclaim started to sky rocket that she put her name on it, i honestly dunno why gaga can't see she's being used...

maybe because the song turned into something more to her. do you really think gaga would´ve cared if she had gotten the Oscar Nomination? she wouldn´t be salty about it (diane on the other hand). so she honestly didnt care were the song went as long as it helped her and others. come to think of it, i bet diane was the one that arranged all those oscar lunches with the academy. but im sure the oscars know that gaga isnt just the voice of the song. she actualluy aprticipated in the interviews and took the project seriously, hopefully convincing them to overlook this

You still don't even know how many of the song Gaga changed musically, which is included to a songwriting credits.

exactly. remember Diane said the TIHTY was finished as a piano only ballatd that felt very depressive. and she also said gaga and her fought each other when they changed the melodies, cords (gaga and diane both said there was a cord progression that gaga wanted but Diane did not and it only made it into the end of the song and not fully like gaga wanted) and Diane herself said that gaga changed the emotion flow + produced the song. and linda herself said that lyrics changed, and we dont know who wrote that line, it coul´ve been gaga

We all know how much she changed though. She and Diane literally said it multiple times. But that's not what that post was even about. I was just trying to delinate Linda's perspective.

As real as Gaga's writing credits?  #Paradox #Food4Thought

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

Which is worse, a song writer calling out a peer for taking too much credit on a specific song, or a pop star winning awards and making a profit from a song about rape the year after collaborating and furthering the careers of two known rapists? Hmm..who has more artistic integrity...Gaga or Linda Perry?

OMG this is so true though. That's why I sometimes dont bother watching Gaga interviews anymore because she's constantly contradicting herself and its just...ugh its hard to follow her through lol.

imwoahvicky

This thread is such a mess :wtf:

The same argument has been going on for about 10 pages? And it's still continuing? :awkney:

On topic though, I'm pretty sure Gaga had a part in writing the melody/chords and stuff, since songwriting isn't just about the lyrics :awkney:

It's a win-win for Gaga.  A song she's involved with nominated for, possibly winning, an Oscar.  It's mutually beneficial to both.

This is not the first time I heard that, actually i there was alot of inforfmation of Gaga going to studio to sing the vocal and didt teh arrangment while the song was already finished (the lyrics at least). Gaga had her fair share in this song, she did helped produced it and played the piano and i guess composed the song melodically- so she gets credit, but if she didnt write the lyrics-and a few words dont count, than dont take the credit for that..... the trouble starts when the song gets acclaimed for the lyrical content and Gag is the oly one being credited. you know

She is not the only one being credited. :saladga:

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
