but we knew this already??? gaga clearly stated multiple times diane brought the practically finished song to her and her major input was in the production/flow and the way it should be sung. And let's not forgot originally when The Hunting Ground premiered she wasn't credited as a writer... It was only after Diane wanted the song to be released for an Oscar & GRAMMY nomination that Gaga got credited and it added into the film and BMI credits.

I don't approve attacking Linda Perry, it will only make things worse, but the media is going to make this huge no matter what LM do or say. They will make this scandal happen because... is a scandal, a scandal over one very famous popstar, a highly respected songwriter, and the most popular award in showbiz.

They don't want Gaga to win back again, and always will be something or someone keeping her away to win. The chances of the song are over, but if it would happens to win, the is always be the shadow of a doubt over Gaga for this.

Sometimes is so hard stan for the girl... We can always enjoy her music, but the satisfaction of your fave winning, and being acclaimed, they will gonna always take that from us.

Dramatic much

Gaga has had nearly continuous steady acclaim and positive coverage since the start of 2014. I don't think that this one incident will cause a rupture, especially when there's more than enough counterproof available that disqualifies Linda's claim.

Really?  Diane has been pushing this song for forever, before we ever heard it.  I'm sure she was hungry for a nomination.

Some of you must be pretty happy, fulfilled people to consider this a scandal worth debating. Like a rich girl that loses a nail and calls the police.

also, the fact that she said gaga was credited for attention and she´s using both gaga AND diane to get herself attention...reductive

We can try and ignore it and hope it blows over. Sure. But it's almost certain that the day after the Oscars we're gonna be seeing headlines (however scarce they may be) such as "Did Gaga deserve that Oscar?" And it just sucks. For fans and for both Gaga and Diane. I just hope that if they win, there won't be raised eyebrows in reference to Gaga.

true but it was only after gaga's acclaim started to sky rocket that she put her name on it, i honestly dunno why gaga can't see she's being used...

But once we see (real) headlines, Diane Warren will clarify everything. I'm not really worried.

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

That's the thing though, Linda's saying that the whole "collaborative" act was a promotional tactic. I'm not saying Gaga and Diane are frauds or something but I think people are missing Linda's point: it's about the forging of credits that bugs her, especially when it's done just to get more promo/award noms/wins.

You still don't even know how many of the song Gaga changed musically, which is included to a songwriting credits.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
