apparently, they like to believe that they're rational thinkers and the rest of the members are some teenagers who have nothing left to do but to defend their faves blindly:awkney: just ignore them, that's all i can say at this point.

Honestly I don't see why she exposes gaga. I only see a desperate move from an jealous and pressed woman.

I really hope Gaga and Diane will win it to her that bitch's mouth

Why are we even discussing Bey and Katy? This has nothing to do with them. Some are fans of them on here, so yes, there would people here who would defend them. Anyway...

Linda is full of it by pretending she's on some selfless crusade by implying Diane can't get an Oscar on her own etc. Her claims of respecting both of them just feels suspect. When you put something out on twitter, its basically saying you don't give a **** about them.

I'm a fan of a woman who arrives to award shows by egg and by horse back, so I'm not going to criticizes someone else for being an attention seeker.

You forgot (?) the part i'm a fan of a woman who minds her own business and who doesn't call other artists out for credit issues but i understand that you have an invalid argument to support so go for it.

Wow. Are you the alpha and omega? Allegations against Terry Richardson wasn't even confirmed by the court. It's easy to judge eachother.

Even if you discount the allegations against Terry Richardson (which by the way is tantamount to discounting Gaga's claim of having been taken advantage of by a producer), that doesn't explain her collaboration with R. Kelly, a man who raped and pissed on a thirteen year old girl.

I don't understand how I can be the only Gaga fan who is put off by her singing a song like Till It Happens To You considering her collaborations with Kelly and Richardson. It's hypocritical at best.

I hope bitchy Gaga will grad someone today, it's been a while ^^

I hope she doesn't say anything about this and Diane clears it up with "we've never hid anything or lied and Linda's entitled to her opinion."

Obvious with more "c*nts" and stuff about her cat :green:

Just calm down, guys. It's not as big a deal as it seems.

Why are certain people in this thread trying to involve other pop girls? Gaga writes all of her songs and her credibility remains intact. Just because she wasn't the main lyricist on this one song only doesn't change the fact that she played a huge part in its fruition. She's deserves a songwriting credit because it was a collaborative effort. She didn't just show up and say, "Hey Diane! We're going to claim this song was written solely by me! You didn't write anything! Good day!"

Popstars like Beyoncé go through this situation with every album which is exactly why her songwriting credits are usually undermined and scrutinized. The comparison is moot. :awkney:

The comparison is dead-on though.

Gaga changed one sentence (main writer? don't think so) and the rest of her efforts of the song are already covered with her producer credit. Imagine if word got out that another pop artist got an Oscar and Grammy nomination for a song she just changed one sentence for? The storm would be undeniable. I don't see how an artist's past/credibility has anything to do with that, even.

And like I said: the idea that Beyoncé/Katy show up and just demand a credit for no reason is hopelessly biased and already confirmed false multiple times. They may not come up with the whole song, but they're very hands-on in what stays and goes (in Bey's case up to every single instrument line). Sure, a main writing credit is undeserved, but then again, Gaga got one here too so why are people here pretending there's a difference there?

Poor ha not being able to get Gaga and having to settle for Miley which lead to zero acclaim.

Why is this so hard to understand :emma:

I'm bringing them up because it supports my point: if this had happened to another artist, everyone would probably agree with Linda. The comparison matters because in this particular situation a double standard arises to the surface and I just think double standards should be addressed, that is all.
