It probably will. She made it sound like they conspired from day one to make an Oscar winning smash instead of just making a song to bring attention to a cause and express pain that they've both been through.

Well i feel like that's also true, sorry...

This is rude, unnecessary and pressed from her!

There is no need to say all those things EVEN if they are true, which I personally don't think, because Diane said Gaga contributed to the writting process and Gaga said herself that she changed a lot of things when it comes to melody, construction of the song etc.

So if Diane is okay with it, I don't see why anyone else wouldn't be okay...

Then why am I not seeing an overload of "yassss Linda clock that talentless meat wearer, she doesn't deserve to be credited" or "Gaga doesn't deserve any award for this song she didn't even ****ing write it" comments lately?

Not saying these comments should be there, just saying it's funny to see the response when in the exact same situation with another artist, the response would be 100% opposite.

Okay. Is there any chance that because of these allegations their chance of winning oscar will drop?

It could influence how the voters see the song and its creation and, maybe, cost them the win.

She's not lying, just expressing her views on what it means to be a song writer. By definition, Gaga co-wrote TIHTY, but in her mind composing, producing, changing a lyric or two, and performing a song doesn't make you a writer. Hoping we're just doing the usual GGD "blowing things out of proportion" because this is just one woman sharing an opinion...even if it will bring negativity on Diane and Gaga...

I'm sure it was in the back of their mind but I'm trying to have a little faith in them that it wasn't their motive. At least for now. If this was just an Oscar grab, honestly, that'd seriously hurt my view of Gaga as an artist. Makes me sad just thinking about it...

There's no way Gaga didn't get involved herself in the song writing process of TIHTY. Some of you are also forgetting that song writing pane just about the lyrics, the melody of the song is also part of it. I have no doubt about Gaga's involvement. That Perry girl can remain pressed.

Because Gaga DID contribute in writing and we DO know Gaga's ability in song writing

I think we all always knew Gaga only did minor changes to the song. But Gaga is also easy with giving writing credits to other people on her own songs so it's okay.

Well, I agree that she contributed in writing, but then again, I also agree that Beyoncé deserves a writing credit for creating her own desired finished product out of the work of other songwriters (= Diane/Gaga's collaboration to me), yet I'm sure the majority of the forum wouldn't agree with me there, which is why I'm pointing out the entertaining double standard (that was just a passing remark though, I think the first half of my original post was more important lmfao).

So anyway, let me rephrase: she deserves the writing credit and Linda is being a mess for using her Twitter account to spread this **** (esp. when Linda's obviously ok with it). I just see a double standard that's entertaining to me, but that doesn't mean Linda's move here is praiseworthy.

Which is worse, a song writer calling out a peer for taking too much credit on a specific song, or a pop star winning awards and making a profit from a song about rape the year after collaborating and furthering the careers of two known rapists? Hmm..who has more artistic integrity...Gaga or Linda Perry?

I think it's about me. If it's not you're going to have to fight me for the Worst Little Monster Prize.
