Bradley 58,660
How the hell does Linda know about this? And the **** she sang Bad romance and Gaga sang What's Up, I didn't know she would say such thing about Gaga. Not believing her in the slightest until I see more concrete proof. Why would Gaga not write her own songs though? She wrote four albums and there's no reason why she couldn't write Til It Happens to You.
Bradley 58,660
Also i don't think Gaga would be foolish enough to sing an award worthy song not knowing that only writers are credited as award winners. She would have fought and insisted on writing that song herself.
migamiga 12,101
I thought we all knew this already... The song was already finished when brought it to gaga. She just arranged the music and produced it (which still counts as writing credit)

SKANK 14,288
31 minutes ago, Miky said: why would they both lie? It benefits them both to exaggerate or lie about the amount of song writing credit Gaga deserves for Till It Happens To You, because it increases the songs chances of winning an Oscar. With Warren's song writing credibility and Gaga's star power they are a shoe in to win the Oscar for Best Original Song. Gaga and Warren are both lobbying hard for this Oscar. Warren has lost several Oscars, and as we saw last weekend at the Globes, Gaga is motivated and thrilled by accolades. I wouldn't put it past either of them to be dishonest about the song writing credits in order to cement their Oscar win. The real question is, why would Linda Perry lie? She likes Gaga, has spoken positively about her music, and just did a tribute to Bad Romance a few months ago. The only explanation I can think of for Perry's tweet is the defense of artistic integrity. She is probably frustrated to see a fellow song writer having to share the spotlight with a pop star who pretends to be more involved then she actually is. 2007 5,291
she's just mad that she publicly called gaga for a collab and seems like gaga has seen through her ass as she never existed. I mean the Jazz legend, pop diva, vocalist, songwriter, performer, actress, artist chanteuse doesn't collab with anyone, specially a single hit wonder who can't sing anymore + butchered one of the queens most iconic songs (bad romance). Now she can shoosh it.

Nicole 1,809
Pretty sure Diane had the song written before going to Gaga, where she made some changes whether it be melodies, lyrics, composition etc, that's what Diane implies anyway when she speaks of how it came about. It's not a bad thing, Gaga still contributed to the song and does deserve a songwriting credit, but fans need to stop eliminating Diane from the songwriting picture. Diane had the basics of the song written already when she met Gaga and after that they both started working on the song together.. For example Gaga was the one who decided that it will be ''big" and "epic" and not just a piano ballad. She deserves her writing credit here only for the vocal performance she delivered, the song would not have been half as emotional if it wasn't for her. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Responses like this are the reason why most people don't bother looking at the comment sections on blogs and videos, such unproductive toxic trash. 4 Non Blonde's What's Up, Christina's Beautiful and Candyman, Pink's Get The Party Started, Gwen Stafani's What You Waiting For, she also wrote a song on Adele's new record. Linda Perry is hardly a one hit wonder, and is clearly still in demand as a song writer. You don't have to demean someone just because they said something you disagree with.
