Getting preachy here but peace is the only way forward. Even when facing people who hate us. It literally means a black person, but it's a derogatory term. Offensive when you use it to describe someone as well due to its racist roots.

Oregano 103
Ooppss!! didn't know that that 'J' word is actually a racial insult I thought it meant something else. I only heard my friends used it a couple of times. Sorry guys.

I was referring to their insane and violent ideology that transformed them into arsonists, thugs, and lowlifes It's okay babe. Perhaps you don't know but that word is actually a racial slur towards people of color. No shade, no tea. Maybe you didn't know. I just think we need to get away from saying "Muslims (or any race) (or any reference to someone's race) are the problem." There are good Muslims in Egypt right now trying to defeat ISIS. This is not a Muslim issue. This is a religious extremism issue. And it's not just the people involved in ISIS, it's the people allowing it to happen for profit (ahem....Russia I'm looking at you). You're OK though Patti! I understand that this is frustrating when we have a President who is very weak on understanding his actions and their potential repercussions. I guess I was a bit too carried away from the effect of what happened in my city just a few days ago. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-35309195 It was literally 50m away from my house, and I was scared to death. I just want all the middle eastern fiasco to finish once and for all.

Getting preachy here but peace is the only way forward. Even when facing people who hate us. I'm a little shocked at some of the responses in this thread, too I do think peace is the goal. But this president assumes declaring peace, or throwing money at an issue will just make that happen. That is looking at it from a civilized point of view. A very western approach. Normally, if you pay someone back, or give them something it will shut them up for a while. But this president does not understand that diplomacy and kindness are innefective with this kind of threat. This is not an enemy you can barter with because they are not fighting for a material thing like land, money, or power. They are fighting for an extreme religious belief. We could throw a trillion dollars at them. We could even let them take over Israel. But that's not ever going to be enough. ISIS does not believe in coming to a resolution that would make both sides happy. They believe we should die because we are infidels....sinners...the bad guy. They won't be happy until all things outside of their ideal is destroyed. That is not peace. And Obama sending tiny messages by handing them money does not "create peace". It gives them ammo. It builds their confidence that we are an easy target, and it weakens our Allie's hope for real world peace. If you don't want a behavior, you don't reward it. If you do want a behavior, you reward it. Why are rewarding countries with bad behavior (Iran) and ignoring the countries that want to coexist and actually exemplify diplomacy and peace? Oregano 103
The most provocative and dangerous thing a nation can do is be indecisive and weak. Obama has cemented his place in history as America’s worst president by leaving power vacuums around the world that tyrants and terrorists were only too happy to fill.
