I knew this but I didn't know it wasn't originally written for her :rip: She didn't keep it because it wasn't 'edgy' enough for her? When I think of her I think of songs like Price Tag, Domino and Bang Bang... edgy experimental chanteuse indeed :green:

Jessie J wrote the song, not Dr. Luke. They took it from her because she was unknown, had no debut album coming out, but they believed the song was a hit. They weren't going to give her a possible hit to just sit with for years. The label execs simply worded it nicer for the public.

The song is about a British girl wanting to make it in the USA. It makes no sense for Miley. It makes perfect sense for Jessie J.
