The extended break in between "Downtown"'s release and the album release day will further harm its chances of success. "Downtown" was released the same week as Bieber's lead single "What Do You Mean" in AUGUST. A six month gap is no bueno. Lead singles are used to promote albums to generate buzz. Highly doubt anyone will have a buzz from "Downtown" in February (though they prob don't even have one now). To clarify, I'm not looking at "Downtown" in terms of if I liked it or not (I'm actually neutral on it). I'm just going off of performance.
